What Roof did was horrible, of course, but even from a racist viewpoint, warped and twisted. He took the lives of the best of black people. He was likely afraid of those likely to defend themselves.
I do hope there aren’t the inevitable delays but hell will not get him for many years.
Get practical people, there are DEDICATED anti death penalty organizations and this will not happen soon. Since it is South Carolina, I feel certain that it will happen BUT this will go up to the US Supreme Court at least once, as he acted as his own lawyer and that will have to be reviewed.
Now he MAY waive all appeals as did Timothy McVey (Murrah Federal Bldg. bombing - OKC 1995). Note that McVey’s case took from 06/02/1997 conviction to June 11, 2001 before he was executed, 4 years. If this takes less time it will be strictly because Mr Roof wants to end it himself. Otherwise we will be hearing of this in the 2020s.

From what I understand, it was a social justice black church that was involved with politicking for Obama or Hillary. That was probably why he targeted them, unless he picked the location at random.
They should have just taken him out back behind the church...at a decent distance and just put a bullet in his head.
He was sentenced to death but Cali banned the death penalty around 1972 and his sentence was made life and that is where we stand now. Still breathing but at least in stir.

I tend to look at things in a spiritual manor. I can say without a doubt that this kid is possessed by demons. You can just look at his eyes and see he has something telling him what to do. He said he thought about it and almost changed his mind, but did it anyway. He has no idea about the gravity of what is about to happen to him. He doesn’t look like a tough guy to me. I think if a doctor looked at him he might make a case for some sort of mental illness, but the kid still just speaks like he’s possessed by something speaking things to him that he believes makes sense.
Praise the Lord! Get it done quick and get this stain removed from society ASAP!!!
