Not everyone in Hollywood is a fan of Meryl Streep.
Streep is now facing backlash from those in the entertainment industry who feel her anti-Trump speech at Sunday night's Golden Globes was "hypocritical" and out-of-line for a Hollywood star.
Country star Travis Tritt took to Twitter to offer his "advice to all actors."
"Advice to all actors, musicians and entertainers: Please stick to your crafts that we all love you for and drop the political rhetoric," he tweeted.

It occurred to me that Meryl Streep owes everyone at the Golden Globe show an apology for STEALING the limelight from them. Everyone is talking about her and no one, it seems to me, knows anything else about the show, who were the other folks who received awards or even what movie was selected as ‘the best.’
Not that it matters one whit to normal people what the self-congratulatory bitches think of themselves.
It's just like Obama, who recently gave himself a medal.
I also work in a school district. It is very lonely because I can never speak my mind or give an opinion. I have to listen to teachers spew the most idiotic and racist crud without reacting or refuting. I learned to do this the hard way when I once told an officemate that I was voting for Palin (McCain).
She went around and told administrators, counsellors, teachers, and even students. They were much colder to me from then on an it was tough to get through my day at work. Six years to retirement and freedom from this nonsense! My dream is that Trump is still President when I retire.
My hubby works with photographers and a lifelong business contact who knew he was voting for Trump announced it at a recent conference, several days in a row, to large groups of his associates and potential customers while they were all out to dinner. He had to spend the next hour defending his opinions while he was vilified. He’s been a good friend to the woman who “outed” him and done her many favors over the years. But that meant nothing because she is too full of venom to feel loyalty.
Liberals are the meanest, most small-minded people in the world.
I grew up in your neighborhood near Disneyland... we lived across the strawberry field on West Street. I watched Tinkerbell fly off the Matterhorn every night in the summer from my back fence. In bed at night, I could hear the Casey Junior Train song wafting through my windows on the wind. In the spring, the air was full of the smell of orange blossoms. And in the summer, everywhere we went the scent of strawberries was in the air.
I rode my stingray bike to Disneyland and could get in for 75 cents (no ride tickets, just entrance) and spent Saturdays roaming the park by myself and drinking it all in.
It was a great place to grow up.
I've heard a few of the "new" candy a$$ pop country songs about 4wd and drinking beer by the lake. These pop singers wear designer britches, torn in the appropriate fashionable manner, and their purty boots never seen a lick of mud or manure.
Someone said how brave it was of Streep to say these things to a roomful of people who completely agree with her.

In a school, it’s the professor’s duty to explain how the system works, and to present all the information (good and bad/agree or disagree). As a matter of fact, instructors would be remiss if they DIDN’T explain how our system works and all the pertinent facts.
HOWEVER, once they go on to say: “Oh by the way-Here’s how I am going to vote!”....they just stepped over the line... They are no longer teaching! NOW it’s propaganda!
It’s natural for students and young people to look up to professors and teachers because it’s how students’ respect for authority and willingness to listen and learn actually WORKS.
If adults abuse their position AS instructors….if they take the most unfair advantage of their status, then they are no longer teaching…. they become PROPAGANDISTS!! And they are the most dishonorable, crude and irresponsible kind pf propagandists-influencing young, inexperienced and uninformed people!

I can’t wait NOT watch her pending TV project ‘The Nix’ where she’ll be reportedly paid $875k per episode. In fact, I’m inclined to cancel my subscriptions to any service that streams it....and watch football instead.
The SMART stars realize that the idiotic rantings of these Liberal elite idiots will star causing a major backlash against ALL OF HOLLYWOOD (see NFL ratings since they decided to allow their players to display rampant stupidity on the field), etc...
Smart entertainers realize that they are not a NECESSITY, but an extra privilege that the American people give to themselves. When push comes to shove, Americans will start walking away with their dollars, and Hollywood/entertainers will suffer!!
I totally agree. Many teachers never present alternative opinions to their students. The poor kids hear the same mantra from Kindergarten to their PhD. No wonder they are so completely brainwashed.
