Donald Trump claimed some measure of political revenge against Ohio Gov. John Kasich for shunning his presidential campaign, after helping oust a key Kasich loyalist from atop the state Republican party.
Trump threw his support behind Jane Timken, who on Friday narrowly defeated Ohio GOP Chairman Matt Borges. The president-elect even got personally involved, calling members of the 66-person Central Committee to lobby on Timken's behalf.
"At first I thought it was a fake phone call," Cincinnati-area committee member Greg Simpson told Cleveland.com. "Then all of the sudden, he's talking to me."

I love news like this.
Awesome! Kasich really crapped in his own mess kit and I hope the voters will remember to not vote for him come election time.
Well, Matt can always deliver the mail...can’t he John?
Maybe Trump just likes women more.
To the loser belong the boils.

Kasich is such a loser.
What a disgrace he has been as governor of Ohio.
So, how soon before Kasich, Graham, and McCain switch parties? I expect Trump to dress down the two senators for non-cooperation soon.
Is there a pool somewhere I can get into the action?
The doofus is term limited as governor although he could challenge Sherrod Brown in 2018, which I would expect him to do.
Kaysuck and all the rest of the Cheap Labor Express Republicans like McCain, Graham, Rubio, Corker, Hoeven, Heller, Murkowsky, Hatch, Alexander and Flake (who all voted for Gang of Eight) need to be removed from office and the party for siding with illegal aliens against the citizens and the rule of law.
There are far too many elected Republicans who side with illegal aliens and their employers.
Just the beginning....Paul Ryan is next....McConnell is next after that....but I have the feeling that Elaine Chao will enjoy keeping ole’ Mitchie on a very short leash.....payback time for her and her maritime shipping magnate family.....A brilliant move on Trump’s part to make her Transportation Secretary
Yep, seems to be a married into the family Timken (née Murphy ... love it!) in Canton, Ohio. The Timkens are descended from the genius who invented the tapered roller bearing. Big in Ohio Republican politics.
It’s not about “revenge”, it’s about consolidating Party power.
(But it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy LOL!)
The GOP will never support Kasick as a Senate Candidate.
Not after breaking his pledge.
President-Elect Trump, Making America Great Again even before he is President!
The sitting Governor of Ohio boycotted his party’s national convention in his own state.
Still hard to believe.
The trouble is a bunch of those guys JUST won so they will be around for a while.
Those states had their chance in the primaries.
Yep, neither countries, but gets them out of office and out of the country.
