WASHINGTON — The White House refused a call by a Republican congressman to light the White House blue Monday for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.).
“Obama has not agreed to do so, but has displayed lights at the White House for other groups in the past, including the LGBT community,” a spokeswoman from Republican Washington Rep. Dave Reichert’s office told The Daily Caller Sunday night.
President Obama previously refused to light up the White House with blue lights in support of the fallen officers following an ambush on law enforcement in Dallas last July.

You are right. The White House is not a billboard. Things like this detract from its dignity.
Police officers do not demand respect. They earn it every day by having to help even fools such as you.
Secondly, the above reply is really wasted time. Any 7 year-old who does not understand the difference between Orlando and the Ft. Lauderdale Airport or has no concept of a Civil Society should not be allowed internet access by their mommy and daddy.

The LEOs in Anchorage explained that although they had doubts about his mental state after interviewing him, they were forced BY LAW to return his gun & ammo, because those can only be confiscated after someone is Adjudicated Mentally Incompetent.
Look up the definition of the term. Hint: It says nothing about an LEO deciding on his own which citizens without criminal records are defined to be AMI, and can thus have their guns confiscated without court action.

It’s downright bizarre that with the saturation coverage of the incident, nobody wants to go there.
