I wonder if the reality of this whole thing will cause the democratic party to change the culture among their elected officials and staff.
In other words, will they learn to take cyber security seriously. For starters:
1) Frown on the use of private servers for communicating government business
2) Regard basic security tools—such as passwords—as existential necessities

They have probably gotten used to the idea - and are comfortable with it - that most leaks and hacks will be used against Republicans and Republican administrations, or against America in general.
Only an idiot would think that they are upset because they think that the Russian hacks might harm America; what they care about is that they can use their alleged concern about the hacks in order to present an image of fake patriotism in an effort to undermine Trump. Insofar as they see Trump as an advocate of American nationalism and sovereignty, they want to use the Russian hacks to undermine him and - hence - America itself.
