Cut 2/3rds of the contractors and put the work in house as it once was that alone will dry up the pay to play BS....then get rid of the dead weight as any organization would do...it’s just business and should be handled as such.

A lot of DC Federal workers are allowed to telecommute.
Revoke that and force them to come to the office every day.

Two weeks of Beltway traffic will have large numbers of them quitting.

"Cut 2/3rds of the contractors and put the work in house"

The problem is that there is no one in the government who is able to do what contractors are doing, from running military mess halls, to transportation of supplies, to construction, to IT services to technical planning. Bureaucratic government management is pretty much all that's left inhouse.

Can't bring the work in-house. The federal employees were hired to satisfy AA mandates. Then they had to bring in contractors who knew how to actually do the work.

*************

Legions of contractors do most of the real work in federal agencies. In theory, the feds manage them but in reality its the other way around.

If you want to see a federal employee cry, ask them to work and accept responsibility and accountability for the results.
