Obama said misinformation influenced voters. And not one conservative will ask “What in those emails was misinformation?”

It’s another issue Trump has given the dems, rinos and media to claim the election is invalid. Do not be surprised if Trump is impeached and Hillary is “installed” as president.

No dictator operates alone. The dictator may be leaving. But his support remains

...and how he dealt with Vladimir Putin

You mean wetting his panties, giving Putin his lunch money, running to the WH bedroom and hiding under the covers?!

Yeah. That showed him!

This is the same damned thing HRC does and did, when caught in a lie, divide the lie in two and at the most humble extreme of your available consciousness take responsibility for maybe the smaller half. Parse it. Shave off a little and doubt the one half and sideways take responsibility for the second half. What a sleazy dirtbag. At least he’s consistent.

There is NO statement this creep has EVER said that does not contain the word “but”.

Linguistically, about 2/3rds or more of such sentences are simply lies.

“Misinformation”?

They are now conflating the DNC hack with the issue of "fake news" ("PizzaGate" etc.), in order to just that the DNC hacks involved spreading false information.

Every time they re-visit this issue, they broaden their claims, and now they are accusing Russia of spreading "fake news" without giving any specific examples of that fake news.

Should have been:

"They are now conflating the DNC hack with the issue of "fake news" ("PizzaGate" etc.), in order to SUGGEST that the DNC hacks involved spreading false information."

LOL, actually, it is often at least half that is false in general!

A useful, interesting and illuminating rule of thumb: When you hear someone use the word "but" in a sentence, listen to the statement before the word "but" carefully (because that is the part they want you to think they don't subscribe to) and play very close attention to the word AFTER the word "but", because that is how they really feel.

It is an interesting exercise when trying to understand an obfuscating and dissembling person.

It is just a rule of thumb, though.

People who aren't aware can reveal more than they would like you to know (kind of like body language exhibited by the untutored, in the presence of someone who is looking for cues). In this case, however, Obama is just using this lazy linguistical tool to advance the impression among the citizenry who listen to him that there was election hacking that took place.

I doubt he is concerned or cares about Russian hacking, because he likely knows it had nothing to do with the outcome.

It is the, I was wrong it's actually worse than I thought, method that liberals use to admit they were wrong. It is a way of doubling down without actually putting more skin in the game. This is good because it means they are starting to accept that they might have been wrong.

This is an absolutely standard riff that 0bama does. With 0bama...whenever he starts a sentence with anything other than “No longer can we....” or “For far too long....” there is that “but” coming and you KNOW it’s coming. It’s like the sun rising in the east. Sometimes the “but” is deployed into the next spoken sentence but it is NEVER absent. And however you read it, your way or my way, it is a solid indication that part of the sentence is a lie or minimally, an attempt to get you to believe something that is not so. I find it remarkable even as it is repetitive and nauseating.

0bama has a kind of unique way of using “but”; it is more emphatic than usual, it’s a real crowbar.

“President Obama admitted Sunday he “underestimated” the hacking threat”

No kidding! Obama had no idea it would be so important to blame “Russian Hacking” for:

Hillary threatening the jobs of Pennsylvania coal miners.

Hillary exposingclassified information to them, although they may well be benefiting even today from her having done so.

Hillary giving Anthony Weiner access to content on her non-secure server.

Hillary calling half the voters “deplorable.”

Hillary making shady deals with foreign nations via the Clinton Foundation.

Hillary making a video hectoring labor unions for not putting Hillary 50 points ahead of Trump.

Hillary accusing Donald Trump of horrible things while defending her husband for doing far worse things.

Hillary botching the situations in Syria and Lebanon.

Hillary whipping out that stupid “reset button,” although they certainly took advantage of the foolish notions behind it.”

You are correct...to him, it is a tool to mine undisciplined opinions. He has catch-phrases he uses, and they make me grit my teeth:

I hate “teachable moment” the most but here are some others he uses:

“Let me be clear”
“Make no mistake”
“Here’s the deal”
“It will not be easy”
“Win the future”
“Greater together”
“Shared sacrifice”
