He could have simply said, "Well, there they go again". Or, "Celebrities know nothing of domestic or international issues. Their opinions are just that, opinions". Trump needs not go personal, as he does frequently. It is unseemly for the President. Again, he's the President partially because of his Tweets, just wish he would tone down the direct personal attacks. There is other phasing to counter.
I think what that actress did last night was classless. It was supposed to be about her receiving a lifetime achievement award, which she should have acknowledged gracefully. This was meant to be one of the pinnacle achievements of her career. Instead, she pissed all over her award (and the Golden Globes) by using this moment as a platform to make a political statement.
Over time, she will come to regret this. What should have been a proud moment for her is forever tarnished.
If your enemies have a proven, effective tactic (the tactic of personal destruction), a smart opponent adopts that tactic and uses it against them.
The left has been doing this to us for decades and it works, so why, I ask shouldn’t we use the same tactics on them?
