I’m not sure he should be tweeting responses to stuff like this. It makes him look a little immature and gives them more fuel for the fire.
Defend the lies spread by the media and these leftist d-bags, but stay away from the insults. Especially something like this. Streep is not an overrated actress. She is just another pathetic hollyweird libtard who lives in a bubble. Don’t give them relevancy.
I dunno: Dubya let things like this slide, and they walked all over him, with the assistance of the press. These people only understand when you throw EXACTLY what they are throwing BACK at them.
THEY dropped any pretence of civility years ago, it’s time for us to roll up our sleeves and give back twice what they’ve been forcing on us. Perhaps after a few serious mud wars they might get the message...

Sorry but don’t agree. Insults are one of the few things that throw them off their game. Bush was “above it all” and “mature” and what did that get him?
Much, much more disrespect and scorn.
Maybe is is beneath a President to tweet in response to public insults.
But, on the other hand, he was defending himself against false accusations and set the record straight. He is empowering the rest of us to speak up where we used to be too intimidated to stand for the truth. A new freedom is dawning for the ‘formerly silent majority’.
I used to agree but you know what.? Look what “ dignified silence” got for Bush 43. Everyone smacked him around like a patsy with the most outrageous disrespect
Let Trump speak his mind and let the panties twist
His tweets take a lot less of his time and attention than obamas endless golf games
I don't quite agree. George W. Bush is a prime example of one who took the high road. Hollywood stars used to bash him too in these bogus award ceremonies. His response was to ignore them.
All this did was cause the Left to pile on him all the more, eventually reducing him to a laughingstock that nobody respected or took seriously anymore. Even conservatives started using him as a punching bag.
I hope Trump keeps returning fire. It's obviously working for him.
BS...It’s about time to attack whoever insults you, be they big or small...Time to just sit and take it as our previous “professional politicians” have done for years is OVER...
I don’t care if the insulter is famous or the guy across the street...Give ‘em hell right back....

We WANT a fighter, someone that isn’t going to cower to anyone. If they don’t like begin called ugly they need to shut the Hell up.

That is not how the psychology of it works. Just like a spoiled kid, if you say or do nothing it is a certainty the misbehavior will get worse. While there is no guarantee that fascists will stand down after being called out, it is a certainty that doing nothing will embolden them to new heights of phony verbal abuse.
I agree with that but Trump's going to be Trump. It has worked for him. I would have just told her and the other GG winners who made commentaries: "No one pays you to think, so just act and keep your uninformed opinions to yourself."
