To: AC Beach Patrol

“There’s something especially creepy about executions at abandoned carnival/amusement parks.”

That’s what I thought too. I wonder if ISIS is smart enough to recognize the symbolism of it - perhaps? And yes - the ball pit especially, as it used to be a weekly thing with my kids at McDonalds when they were kids.

My first thought was “They destroy any hope of a child’s fun and turn them into monsters.” My second thought was “Huh - Who would have thunk that those countries had ball pits.”

Funny, my thought too. Which made made it all the more curiously creepy. Imagining what it was like in years gone by. Was there cotton candy? Calliope music? It's an image you don't have in your mind. It's easy to picture old guys sitting smoking hookahs and watching traffic, but not amusements parks and happy children.
