Personally I don’t see any need to carry ammo on a plane. He can buy ammo easily at his destination. But on the other hand all that does is move the shoot up off premises of the airport. The real problem is that this guy is a danger and unless you’re going to institutionalize these guys you’re going to have a problem.

the ONLY answer is to REMOVE the Muslim terrorists from US shores. This scumbag was a Muslim sympathesizer but he had a history that could have identified him as an Anti American terrorist.

EVERY Muslim is sworn to abide by their Koran. Their Koran tells them that their child raping Muslim prophet Mohamed will NOT return until the world is 100% Islam. Until then, infidels are target practice.

The next group of innocent Americans might include your wife, your kids, you parents, your preacher during a Christian service that offends the Muslims.

It's what Muslims do, they kill infidels. Convert or die, that's how they play the game.

Ah, it’s not always like that.

I don't want to hunt for ammo and spend $25.00 for it every time I land in a new city, and then throw it away when I leave. I already own perfectly good ammo.

Your comment definitely contradicts your FRName...

For at least three decades it has been legal -- and, not too inconvenient -- to follow the rules of transporting firearms and their ammo in a hard-sided locked case -- on US airlines.

Many airports are so situated that the trip from them to a downtown site traverses some very dangerous and unsavory neighborhoods.

My checkable case is constructed so as to isolate the (loaded) magazines from the weapons, but make it possible to quickly bring the weapons into loaded and ready status once outside the terminal. I've been doing so for nearly four decades -- legally.

Thousands of legal travelers do so every day -- and, to my knowledge, this is the first time anyone has abused the practice inside a terminal.

(Of course, they could have [more easily] walked in from the street and created the same baggage-claim area mayhem.)

Apparently you have never traveled on business on a regular, frequent basis. Lucky you!!

But you have zero cause to advocate imposing your sheltered-life biases on those of us who must risk life and limb to do so.

Not if your destination is CT. You need an ammo purchasing license.

Another reason not to go there.
