Trump is quite right on this. Since I worked for about 50 years, paying large amounts into social security and medicare, I don’t deserve to have them cut. LBJ and his Dem followers expanded social security so it is paid to illegals and others who may not work for more than a few years, if at all. And Medicaid is a gift, although for many recipients it’s a reasonable gift.
I understand that the social security system is going broke. But that’s no reason to screw the people who pay more into it than they will ever get out. It’s the fault of crooked politicians like LBJ, Bill Clinton, the Bushes, and Obama.
When government started to steal the SS funds into the general budget, no one went after the politicians.
That was a problem.
You will be automatically put on medicare when you are on social security, and you still will be paying a fee for medicare, because it gets deducted from your ss.
Yep - any "cuts" will have age groups grandfathered in so they can be phased for younger workers who will have other opportunities to make plans for their futures. That, and efficient uses of taxpayer dollars could turn a lot of bad trends around.
