LOL! You know kittehs pretty well. Yep, every heater has a pile of road kill in front of it. Well, except the itty bitty heater under my desk. No one’s figured out it’s there and that’s good.
Y’all are sure getting hit with snow this winter, aren’t you? Yuck!

THE DOORS
THE CRYSTAL SHIPThe dreamy atmosphere of The Crystal Ship swells like glassy waves, carrying the mythical vessel loaded with its cargo of a thousand thrills, a thousand girls. Morrisons teenage fantasy evokes the amethyst visions of French symbolist poets Arthur Rimbaud and Charles Baudelaire.
[Publius note: Baudelaire, author of The Flowers of Evil and afflicted with tertiary syphilis, spent his last years in a mental hospital rocking back and forth spasmodically, muttering First name over and over again. Rimbaud, author of A Season in Hell, was gay and died of cancer at a young age. Both were models for Morrison.]

Yeeeeeeah ...... still just the one. Not sure what the deal was last night but everything pointed to her laying.
She’s restless tonight but I don’t know if it’s due to it being time for the next egg or if it’s due to the snow falling. Poor girlie.
It’s been a chilly day, no doubt. This old house is hard to keep warm when the wind blows and that’s been the case today. Had to break out my itty bitty heater to put under the desk to keep my feet from turning to ice blocks. LOL!
At least the snow missed us. My step-SIL emailed this afternoon excited about the snow that fell at Spring Hill, just south of Nashville. She and my step-brother live in CA but have a house in Spring Hill, which is where they are now. They aren’t used to snow in L.A. so she’s pumped.

She’ll get over it. LOL! I noticed this morning that it was snowing at the Dale Hollow nest. Brrr! Right now it’s 18 here and feels like 9. I’m NOT going out, that’s for sure! Cloudy but no snow here.
They keep saying “Mom” is getting close to laying, but I finally had to had the chat. It’s VERY distracting and I don’t need to get involved there. LOL!

In 1980 I flew to Eugene (OR) where my old buddy, the legendary Andy Barber, was running an oldies weekend at KASH. I worked harder that weekend programming the oldies than I did at my regular job in L.A. at the bank.
We needed something to set the tone for our first oldie at 9 AM Saturday morning. We had a gas station offering 1960 prices as a promotion, with speakers set up at the entrance playing KASH. I grabbed "Sixty Minute Man" and said, "This is how we start the weekend!" When we put it on the turntable, people in line at the gas station got out of their cars and started dancing.

Ooooo, BRRRRR! It’s still awfully cold there!
They just built the house this year and this is the first time they’ve spent any length of time there. In the years we’ve been emailing, I’ve mentioned our whacky weather and now she’s experiencing it.
The snow will be gone Monday when we warm into the 40s. This time next week, we’ll have highs in the 60s.
The snow’s moved over to the mountains and really coming down at the Dollywood nest right now. They got a nice dusting at Dale Hollow and the pair was at the nest just after sunset again.
It’s time for Momma Berry to lay her next egg. It’s been three days since the first was laid. That’s why I’m keeping a close eye on the nest. At least the snow seems to have stopped now but the wind’s still blowing.
