Police have responded to a shooting inside Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport Friday afternoon.
Details have not been confirmed by police, but early reports indicate as many as seven people were shot. Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, who was traveling from the airport, tweeted out following the incident:

Chip LaMarc checked in to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Update: The shooter was a passenger on a Canadian flight with a checked gun. He claimed his bag and took the gun from the baggage and went into the bathroom to load it. Came out shooting people in baggage claiml. There were 13 total shot, 5 dead, 8 transported to hospital
