The Daily 202: Donald Trump isolates himself by living in a state of denial on Russia (WaPo Alert)
Washington Post ^ | January 6, 2017 | James Hohmann

Posted on 01/06/2017 8:47:23 AM PST by Zakeet

THE BIG IDEA: As the nation’s top spies brief Donald Trump today on how they concluded that Russia interfered in the election, the president-elect continues to isolate himself. From the truth. From intellectually-honest members of his own party on Capitol Hill. Even from the western alliance.

There are few indications that the meeting will prompt Trump to reverse himself after two months of steadfast denials in the face of mounting evidence.

[Snip]

[Unnamed] Sources who have studied the intelligence say there is essentially incontrovertible evidence that Russia was behind the hacks, that they were authorized at the highest levels of the Kremlin and that the goal was to sow deep distrust while also undermining Hillary Clinton.

[Snip]

The president-elect, who has perhaps the most fragile ego of any man ever elected to the White House, sees anyone pointing out this truth as challenging his legitimacy, so he lashes out.

The WaPo Newsers are upset at the Donald because he still won't believe their fake news ...

Note: Much more drivel in the article ... worth a read if you can use a good laugh at the MSM/global elitists' desperate attempts to salvage their agenda.

Wapo, the NYT, and all of the rest of the leftist whiners who have dished out “news” to politically influence elections and life in America for the entire last generation have been booted from their post.

We no longer believe them.

In about a month or two, it will be the WaPo denying what the ‘intel’ people are reporting from the agencies.

Question for the WaPo:

Which number is larger: the number of illegals who voted for Hillary, or the number of Hillary voters who switched to Trump because of the hacks?

Nothing says real world more than a young, Stanford grad, Washington Post writer (snarky sarcasm)

The Agencies only “assume” Russia did something. They don't “know” there was any hacking responsible for anything important.

Especially true, as insiders are the most likely route to have leaked everything BUT Podesta’s email password.

And as soon as his appointees are in place, “the intelligence experts” will find that Russia did not have any involvement in the election. See how that works.

Oblahblah’s appointees are simply putting forward a false narrative — Change administrations, change appointees, change the narrative.

Didn’t even break a sweat.

Is this the same WaPo that reported that the Vermont grid had been hacked by Russians, only to have to revise then pull the report?

Are the reports of Russia hacking the election reported by James Clapper, who previously, under oath said that the NSA did not spy on Americans?

Why yes, yes, neither of them have credibility.

That does not withstand even the most basic analysis.

WHY would the Kremlin want to undermine Hillary Clinton? She’s incompetent, lacks a spine, and is able to be bought on any issue. She would be the ideal POTUS form the Kremlin point of view.

Thank you. And my question was not intended to be snarky. I think it is a virtual certainty that the number of illegals who voted for Hillary is larger than the number of votes that switched because of the DNC hacks or “fake news.”

If the Russians and Chinese are hacking the system, does this not show yet another Obama failure? Failure to secure the property of the American government? No wonder he wasn’t concerned about Crooked and her setup - seems he didn’t particularly care about cyber security.

As a second point, the exposure of the emails just enhances the Obama promise of transparency. People saw the truth.

The Wash Compost, the LA and NY Slimes, and the Chicago Tribunal have all been knocked off their lofty perch in shaping events in America. They’re now reduced to lying and trying to engage the soon to be president in a chess game they’re going to lose. Just think that just two months ago these people were the kings of the world, and now their empire is toppling down on them. They don’t know what to do. Playing a game of political chicken against Donald Trump is not going to end well for them. What idiots and how glorious it is to see these people implode before our eyes!
