State Department won't help Trump plan Israel policies
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/4/17 | Joel Gehrke

Posted on 01/06/2017 7:41:18 AM PST by detective

President-elect Trump won't get any help from the State Department in implementing Israeli-relation policies opposed by President Obama before his inauguration. "The short answer is no," State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters. "You have one president at a time."

Obama's team invoked that axiom to justify high-profile foreign policy actions in recent weeks, notably his decisions to sanction Russia over the election year cyberattacks and to allow the United Nations Security Council to condemn Israeli settlement construction.

Kirby's statement extended that principle to barring any aid in helping the Trump team prepare to move the United States embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem or recognize Jerusalem as the nation's capital.

Perhaps we need to look up the origins of the word decimation. I think that is what needs to happen here.

Decimate state!

Trump will need to clean house and fire all the administrative Bolsheviks Obama installed. The ones who come out OPENLY and oppose him are not the problem. They can be eliminated. The problem will be the sleeper cells of destructive termites working behind his back.

As a general rule, if an individual was hired by Obama, you can ASSUME they are untrustworthy.

Exactly, no injury is done to them by moving them as long as they get the same pay. The Obama plants will try to file complaints anyway but who cares, the key positions will be filled with Trump/Secretary Dept X picks and things will get done

MAGA!

At this point I think he MUST move the Embassy to Jerusalem.

Before it was possible to be agnostic on this.
But now that Obama has secured this horrific UN vote, it is a necessary move to shore-up the territorial integrity of an ally.

Who in the Hell does he think makes national policy? It sure isn’t the scum-sucking State Dept!

Nor the President-elect.

It will be very interesting to see how enthusiastic all these people are about the “one president at a time” after the inauguration when BHO chimes in on the issues of the day.

Seems on the surface, maybe someone is jumping the gun on this issue.

This is from the article, posted:

“before his inauguration. “The short answer is no,” State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters. “You have one president at a time.” “

Seems reasonable, actually.

That may become possible on a large scale or as the congressman wanting to reinstate the rule below like a sniper to take out verbal/vile rectums like this state guy.

House Republicans revive obscure rule that allows them to slash the pay of [federal workers to $1]

House Republicans this week reinstated an arcane procedural rule that enables lawmakers to reach deep into the budget and slash the pay of an individual federal worker — down to $1 — a move that threatens to upend the 130-year-old civil service.

The Holman Rule, named after an Indiana congressman who devised it in 1876, empowers any member of Congress to propose amending an appropriations bill to single out a government employee or cut a specific program.

The use of the rule would not be simple; a majority of the House and the Senate would still have to approve any such amendment. At the same time, opponents and supporters agree that the work of 2.1 million civil servants, designed to be insulated from politics, is now vulnerable to the whims of elected officials.

The revival of the Holman Rule was the brainchild of Rep. H. Morgan Griffith (R-Va.), who is intent on increasing the powers of individual members of Congress to reassign workers as policy demands.

He favors a strategic application, likening it to a bullet from a sniper rifle rather than a shotgun. It’s unlikely — but not impossible — that members will “go crazy” and cut huge swaths of the workforce, he said.
