I know Trump wants to cut costs but you know he knows how to be the biggest ticket in town. I hope he uses that like a sledge hammer

I need more than mere circumstantial evidence before I condemn a person of being as monstrous as this article implies. Your post exemplifies exactly why we’re in this mess. Confusing the cause with the effect and always finding someone else to blame - ie. empowering others over yourself.

This country and the Constitution upon which the federal government was created AND limited and by which our God-given freedoms are protected belongs to YOU and I and the American People.
It is up to YOU and I and the American People to reinstate our Free Constitutional Republic and we DON’T need the Lying Leftist Media’s permission.
First, we need to ID the REAL and greatest political problem in America: the $4 trillion federal government, 70%-80% of which is unconstitutional and, therefore, by definition engaged in tyranny. And oh BTW if you haven’t realized it by now, TYRANNY KILLS. You’re not forced to read the press and the media doesn’t have armed agents who can arrest you and/or kill you.
After getting that straight, the next thing for all of us who love freedom and hate tyranny to do is do all that we can to take over the reigns of power in government, the media, education, the arts, and other American institutions.
Politically the top-down solution is things like electing freedom-loving, tyranny-hating people like Trump to the highest federal positions and MAKING THEM ACCOUNTABLE. The bottoms-up solution is electing freedom-loving, tyranny-hating state officials who will reject and nullify unconstitutional federal acts, which again by definition, are acts of tyranny.
If FReepers, supposedly the vanguard of reinstating our a Free Constitutional Republic, don’t get this, how is the rest of America going to get it? We’ve got to get our minds right and set the right course to fix this.
The Leftist commandeering of American institutions including the media is a byproduct of Americans going to sleep, not the cause. Leftist control now exacerbates the problem but does not prevent freedom-loving American People from waking up and re-commandeering THEIR country, THEIR Constitution, and THEIR institutions.
By letting Leftist “sparkles” distract you and failing to recognize the greatest political problem in our county, you are in danger of being part of the problem instead of part of the solution.

That's asking the wrong question. Fine for Trump as a political candidate to ID the media as the opposition which they were and are. But it's not the right question regarding the root cause of losing our country and recovering our country.
A dishonest press is a symptom, not the disease. It is the same disease causing another symptom: the mostly unconstitutional federal government.
The problem is Americans who love freedom went to sleep letting the Lying left take over our institutions like the media, education, and government. You could say the same thing about the mostly Leftist dominated schooling - dumbing down the population for the tyrants to better control. And as I said, ONCE the Left has control, then things like the Lying Leftist Media make matters worse including a "bloated government" (BTW, "bloated" isn't the core issue w/government, it is another symptom - "unconstitutional" is the core issue).
You've gotta quit looking elsewhere for the answer. The answer is WE THE PEOPLE taking back our country and OUR Constitution.

Wow, hard to get through here. I wasn’t nor am I now talking about Trump, so you’re not paying attention. I’m talking about an UNCONSTITUTIONAL government (not a “bloated” government although there is a connection).
OK I’ll make it easy for you.
A dishonest press is not the CAUSE of a mostly unconstitutional government. It has perpetuated and exacerbated the problem just like Leftist schooling has exacerbated the problem. But WE THE PEOPLE let the media and education become corrupted in the first place and the REAL point is it is up to WE THE PEOPLE to fix it and we don’t need the Lying Leftist media or educators’ permission to do it.
If you don’t get that then you’re probably more part of the problem than the solution.

My post that you originally replied to was talking about the illegality and unconstitutionality of Trump and the feds passing a law fining “rotten MSM reporters.”
My point was and is that the Right has a nasty habit of ratifying unconstitutional federal acts if it appears it helps the Right.
Your reply to my post about whether the press was the cause of our having a bloated government actually had nothing at all to do with what I was saying. It was a non-sequitur that I bit on. So I’ll go back to that point and simply say that whether the press was the cause of our having a bloated government has nothing to do with what I was saying and leave it at that.
