Barack Obama’s Shaky Legacy on Human Rights
Foreign Policy ^ | 1/4 | Kenneth Roth

For all his promises — and a Nobel Peace Prize — the Obama presidency delivered more hope than change.

As Donald Trump prepares to take office, many fear a new hostility to human rights on the part of the United States. From his divisive rhetoric about minorities to his embrace of autocrats abroad, there is plenty to worry about.

Trump presents a stark contrast with President Barack Obama, whose tone was strikingly different. In a 2011 speech at the State Department, for example, Obama said U.S. support for universal rights “is not a secondary interest” but a “top priority that must be translated into concrete actions, and supported by all of the diplomatic, economic and strategic tools at [the U.S. government’s] disposal.” During his eight years in office, his administration did sometimes live up to that rhetoric, and it never stooped to the kind of open disdain of human rights concerns that is feared from Trump.

But the truth is, a careful review of Obama’s major human rights decisions shows a mixed record. In fact, he has often treated human rights as a secondary interest — nice to support when the cost was not too high, but nothing like a top priority he championed.

The only human rights he is concerned about are those of the prisoners of Gitmo and the illegal aliens.

Champions of the People!

Obama, yes he’s the one. He’s the one who wants you to see him as a champion of the people.

In foreign lands, he supports terrorist organizations. He actually received Muslim Brotherhood members as advisors in our White House.

He armed and funded the MB, al Qaeda, and even ISIS.

These people toppled three governments and tried to topple Syria too, before Russia stepped in to put an end to it.

Obama was so traumatized by that, that he blew up a false flag claim that Russia tampered with our elections, inspiring his co-conspirators McCain and Graham to back his play, McCain even calling for acts of war against Russia.

Obama didn’t care about the citizens of Trunisia, Libya, Egypt, Iraq, or Syria. He didn’t give a rip about the Kirds.

He and his fellow travelers in Europe allowed in countless terrorists from Syria, Somalia, and other places. They rioted. They burned cars and businesses. They marched in the streets. They raped thousands of women at will.

Acts of terrorism in the United States perpetrated by these terrorist’s fellow travelers, are seldom called what they are, terrorist attacks. And yet Obama claims he has protected this nation.

Ask those of us who don’t bow to Islam, who recognize it as a rat infested pipe dream of a child abusing maniac, how protected we are.

Obama has no respect for Americans. He has no respect for anyone but himself, and I’m not convinced he has the slightest bit of respect for himself. The way he conducts himself, it’s obvious he isn’t trying to curry favor.

He’s a self-destructive narcissist. Only in the upcoming years will we find out just how true this is.

Obama will totally self-destruct over time. It’s what drives him subconsciously. He feels guilt inside, but doesn’t have the slightest clue how to deal with it, other than to reward himself continually for things nobody else would.

You can only keep a band-aide over a wound like that for so long.

Soon he will be sitting alone most of the time, nobody to think about but himself and what non-entity he is to most Americans. And those he curried favor with during this presidency by reward them for evil behavior, don’t expect them to remain loyal when he can’t do them a solid anymore.

His day is coming.

I cannot think of any meaningful human rights decisions made by the Obama regime. He gave no priority to human rights in connection with Christian refugees. He certainly gave no human rights to the forgotten men and women of America. He used government agencies against those who disagreed with his Marxist policies. Where were the human rights of the targets of unjustified actions by the IRS, EPA, BLM?

What about the human rights of victims of foolishly released terrorists from Guantanamo Bay, who predictably returned to murder and mayhem?

What are you talking about? Do you have a problem with giving human rights to Americans first?
