Kelly’s departure raises a new series of questions about how transferrable her talents are and where Fox News is headed now that the network has lost its biggest star and one of its few hosts with serious mainstream credibility.

What most liberals and most people in the mainstream media fail to understand is that, with programs such as the Kelly Files, the star of the show isn't Kelly. It's FOX, the news channel.

IOW, anybody that steps into the 9 PM slot, will automatically become a ratings giant. It's happened before, when Greta Van Susteren left, and a void was created, and then, Tucker Carlson took over, and he is a huge hit, and perhaps much bigger than Greta ever was. It also happened when Glen Beck was let go some 5 years ago, and he had fantastic ratings on the 5 PM slot. Then, Glen's show was replaced by "The Five", and they've been pulling better ratings than Glen ever did.

The "star of the show" won't be leaving the 9 PM slot, since, there is no way that FOX News Channel will be replaced, and that is what draws the big audiences. Kelly was benefited by FOX news, and her replacement will do just as well, if not better.

Liberals have a very hard time understanding that, the audiences that FOX news gets (and Rush Limbaugh, for that matter), are not the result of the host, but of the need to have voices that are alternatives to the liberal trash that predominates the airwaves.

There are, as a matter of fact, a bunch of FOX personalities that can easily replace Kelly at 9 PM; for example Judge Jeanine Pirro, or Laura Ingraham, or Kimberly Guilfoyle, and others.

Regarding Megyn Kelly, she'll do okay, but she won't get the recognition she got by being part of the FOX news channel, which will continue being the news organization with the most impact in the U.S. and even the world. Kelly's audience won't be following her to NBC. Megyn is/was okay, but she's not going to be a negative impact on the FOX ratings by leaving.
