My old unit has never had women, and never will. Nothing against women but the training was/is so grueling, the washout rate is/was around 90%.
I am an amateur weightlifter.
I deadlifted 605 lbs today, three times today. My max is slightly north of that, probably 40lbs.
The male world record is 1025, so I am not particularly remarkable and would not place in anything but a regional meet.
The female world raw record one rep is (I believe) 589.
By golly he’s right. They should do away with all sexist separation of the sexes. No more WNBA or women’s tennis, etc. They should be allowed to compete as equals. (Besides, all the trans will be taking over women’s sports anyway.)

Working out in the weight room with both female and male cadets since 1988 I can state that most males are stronger. There are female cadets stronger than some male cadets. There are female cadets that I witnessed squat 240 free weight on a bar, 10 reps, 4 sets. Then they do a tons more. Soccer, LAX and rugby players are animals. Awesome machines.

It is time to drop the second set of physical standards instituted for women in the military. They can meet the job requirments servicemen need to meet or quit dragging moral down.
