UC Irvine Law School Dean Erwin Chemerinsky has joined 41 other constitutional scholars in a letter to Donald Trump, expressing “great concern” about the president elect’s “commitment to our constitutional system.” --SNIP-- Among those dismissing the letter is Chapman University constitutional law Prof. John Eastman, a conservative who frequently faces off with Chemerinsky in point-counterpoint settings.
“After 8 years of these same constitutional law professors complaining not one iota about President Obama’s egregious violations of his constitutional authority, the expression of concern seems a bit contrived,” Eastman wrote via email, citing Obama’s executive actions addressing undocumented immigrants among other things.

Loony leftist law professors should be fired and then sued for fraud for teaching lies to their students. Then sue the law schools for hiring them and fire all the administrators who approved of their hiring.

Ah yes. The “constitutional” scholar not concerned about what a constitutional lecturer has done for 8 years. the only thing these statist jerks study is how to violate the constitution and get away with it.
Apparently none of your 16 years were spent in law school. Rarely do you find anyone with a more overwhelming sense of self importance than with law school faculty.
May I remind everyone that when the controversy was raging over Chemerensky’s appointment to dean at UCI that Hugh Hewitt defended the selection and said he was eminently qualified and politics shouldn’t be an issue. I shook with laughter when I thought of all the times old Irwin had opposed those nominations on the right on that exact basis. I mean if you are going to allow the opponent to deploy a weapon you won’t use are you really putting up a fight?

I suspect that law professors not complaining about lawless Obama partly translates to not wanting to loose unconstitutional, unaccountable federal funding won in the name of federal educational funding.
