The Facebook video, posted on Monday by Hasanah Tykeeba, is titled “PHILLY CANT NEVER CHILL.” In it, nobody is chilling and by early Tuesday morning, it had been viewed nearly 150,000 times.

What’s shown over the course of a minute of footage is a mass brawl between two families in the middle of a Southwest Philadelphia street. There are flying kicks delivered from atop parked cars, and a pair of police officers attempting to restore order.

Then, 30 seconds in, a baton-brandishing female officer is shown entering the fray. The street clears out and she’s one-on-one with a teenage female.

If they can’t manage these three simple rules then they need to turn in their badge and their gun.

Who died and appointed you Deputy God?

Item 3 is fatally flawed, inappropriate and rejected.

The sake of justice might be better served by declaring that members of law enforcement are not obligated to sacrifice their lives, creating innocent widows and orphans by giving the criminal the "first shot," so to speak, having clearly chosen violence as the solution to her encounter and criminal inclinations.

Couldn’t find “FFAARD” in the available on line versions of the Urban Dictionary. How about a hint about your personal variant? I have a rough idea, but...

“Don’t be a dick” is too hard for a public servant to understand? And it’s ‘fatally flawed’?

And I’m ‘Deputy God’ because of my radical desire that law enforcement should uphold the Constitution and obey the laws they enforce?

And I bet you’re SHOCKED that someone on Free Republic would object to oppressive and illegal tactics being used by law enforcement.

You’re right that innocent members of law enforcement are not obligated to needlessly sacrifice their lives in the execution of their duties. The converse is also true that innocent citizens are not obligated to surrender their lives and liberties to criminals who happen to have badges.

“Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God” - Benjamin Franklin

I suppose he was ‘Deputy God’ because he stood up to his legal, sovereign government and supported killing the officers of that same government when they became oppressive. I’m sure those British soldiers who were acting as police just wanted to go home to their families at night and if only the colonists had obeyed the law and surrendered their weapons then everything would have been just fine. The colonists just needed to trust the people who were enforcing the law.

Right?

Then likewise all of us conservatives need to just go along with it when the Federal government sends SWAT teams to collect on student loans, or when they seize someone’s property because some endangered bug might live there, or when they cover up for the crimes of someone like Hillary Clinton. They’re just doing their jobs, right? And doing their job and going home to their families is so much more important than upholding that pesky Constitution and obeying laws that are meant for the little people and not anyone who has a gun and a badge, right?

And to suggest that they use their authority wisely instead of using it to mete out summary justice by beating up people, tasering them when they’re in custody, or shooting them just because they *might* be the person they’re looking for...well, that’s just a ‘fatally flawed’ idea.

Perhaps you need to move to Chicago or New York where the policing better fits your idea of perfection. I know that in my part of the country I’m blessed because our sheriff’s department protects us from criminals like that...yes, they protect us even from criminals with Federal badges.

They’re also polite, courteous, friendly, and efficient.

But I guess that’s fatally flawed on their part, right?

smh

Thanks for the reply. But the girl did not turn and walk away quickly, correct?

The girl’s actions do not excuse the cop’s actions. The cop is supposed to be the adult and the cop is supposed to act like one.

If the cop was willing to beat on the girl then she’s probably not too far removed from wanting to shoot the girl.

Wonder what she said to the cop to tick him off.
