One can only marvel at the idea of an independent American state hiring a functionary of the federal government to defend the state against the federal government so that the independent American state can carry out the wishes of the statist bureaucrats of the federal government.

It's a very, very simple solution: Cut ALL Federal funding to the State. Let them know that, if they don't straighten up within a short amount of time, the flow of water and electricity from the Colorado river is next. Let the rotten, filthy, disgusting, ignorant, regressive, oppressive, anti-American, race baiting, leftist scumbag sanctuary state whither and die.
They'll come to their sense fairly quickly.
This is another friendly reminder that the Debt Ceiling restoration date of March 15, 2017 is a crucial one for Trump to leverage in order to get things done to stop reckless spending. My guess is that Holder will go to court to get some injunction that the “sanctuary” State/cities can keep getting money while they violate immigration laws. However the money can only flow if Congress appropriates it so Trump has to have resolve on this matter and go get some court injunction in place proactively to address spending issues.
