“Not a surprise, the Rats know they can’t stop confirmations so they’ll delay as long as possible.”

Would love spicer to come back with, “ every day Trumps choices are contested, another 5 democrat regulations attributed to that department will be repealed.”

“Any attempt by Republicans to have a series of rushed, truncated hearings before Inauguration Day and before the Congress and public have adequate information on all of them is something Democrats will vehemently resist," Schumer said in a Sunday statement, according to the newspaper.

Translation:

Schumer and the rest of the Democrats in the Senate need more time to line up phony-baloney "witnesses" who can be counted on to perjure themselves under oath in order to smear Trump's cabinet choices.

All Trump has to do is what Zero did: Czars!

Zero named his cronies as “Czars”. So, if the Senate has a problem, Trump simply appoints them to non-appointed positions just like Zero did.

That’s right. He should say: I’m lopping 1/3 of the payroll of each department. Every day you hold up a nominee, I add another 2%. And I will propose two nominees per week.

At the opening of the 2017 session there should be a roll call vote with time limit for the approval of all nominees. One shot, one time, next topic please. Save the grandstanding, save the phony debate, and prevent the “borking” of anyone.

Just my $.02 worth.

McConnell could do Trump a favor, and I suspect Trump can persuade him to provide the favor. All McConnell has to do is recess for a few hours. Trump can appoint all his people as recess appointments, and they will be in business. Then who cares how long the confirmations take?

If Mc Cain and Graham pull anything

Mc Connell had better threaten their power on committees

Well, if the progressives delay the appointment of Department Heads, we can always dissolve said Department and give the responsibility back to the States.

Or, once Trump fires all of Barry’s Czars, we can have Patriots run those Departments

Standing rules of the senate prevents that unless through unanimous consent. What do you think the chance of that is?

At the opening of the 2017 session there should be a roll call vote to change the standing rules of the senate to permit all nominees to be confirmed with a single roll call vote. :)

That being said this is an exercise in futility because it would require the senate majority leader to be equipped with a set of big brass ones.

I agree with post-17th Amendment ratification Sen. Schumer on this issue. We don’t want Congress to rush Cabinet nominee proceedings without reasonable discussion like Democrats irresponsibly rammed unconstitutonal Obamacare though the system.

If Trump can’t get a confirmation in 100 days, wind down the department.

Thank goodness that thanks to Harry Reid invoking the nuclear option, we can just ignore the crap out of the Democrats and move to confirm the appointees immediately.
