I've said before that in addition to fearing the fundamental Muslims killing us, as I believe Islam requires them to do, I, as an agnostic, also had to fear the mamby pamby girly boy Christian approach to facing up to the fundamental Muslims.
Merkel's statement is a perfect example of my fear. And that same naive approach to fundamental Islam is widespread in our country. -tom
“...in the face of Jihadist terror, urging them (the German populace) to counter ‘murderers who are full of hate’ with compassion and cohesion.”
Angela, you face murderers who are full of hate with a bigger stick, or a gun. And you expel what is left before they outbreed the German population and completely take you over. You don’t use a band aid when drastic surgery is needed and fast.
What you are seeing is not a "Christian approach". It is a secular humanist approach as most Europeans are no longer truly Christian. That is why it is weak, confused, and "namby-pamby". They are merely coasting on their past cultures and distant memories of a robust (although occasionally badly misguided) Christian heritage. They believe more in St. Nicholas and Tannenbaum than God. For many centuries they had no trouble clearly seeing the threat of Islam and Jihad and resisting it with force of arms when necessary.
