A female singer from the famed Mormon Tabernacle Choir has resigned from the group to avoid performing at Donald Trump's inauguration, saying she "could never look myself in the mirror again with self-respect."
"It is with a sad and heavy heart that I submit my resignation to you and to Choir. I'm am praying that Jesus will help me get through this email before I totally break down," singer Jan Chamberlin wrote in a resignation letter that was obtained by The Salt Lake Tribune and eventually posted on Facebook.

She continued: "Looking from the outside in, it will appear that Choir is endorsing tyranny and racism by singing for this man... History is repeating itself; the same tactics are being used by Hitler (identify a problem, finding a scapegoat target to blame, and stirring up people with a combination of fanaticism, false promises, and fear, and gathering the funding). I plead with everyone to go back and read the books we all know on these topics and review the films produced to help us learn from these gargantuan crimes so that we will not allow them to be repeated. Evil people prosper when good people stand by and do nothing."

Barring his going with the Mormons, I'm hoping someone at the border will get ticked off over which Teddy Bear he gives him and have their older brother send him to one of the drug gangs in Mexico to be their mascot. Ms. Chamberlin your statement clearly reveals that you’ve already had a breakdown, because no young adult of sound mind would say such ridiculous things. The fact that you are unaware of how silly you sound is a strong indicator that you are mentally unbalanced. You should get psychiatric help, and as soon as possible.
The Rocketts are not forced to perform either! That lady who cried that they were being forced to perform at the inauguration put on quite a fuss. She wasn’t being forced at all; the people behind the Rocketts said that no one is forced for these special performances, it’s volunteer. They said that they had more ladies wanting to perform at the inauguration than they had places for them!
Yeah our local paper had an article on this guy who had a petition going around for a protest on the MTC performing for the inauguration for the same reasons! It seems he’s supposed to have around 17,000 signatures, and he’s going to give it to the people in charge of the choir. He carried on in a prima-donna fit about the choir having performing at Donald’s swearing in!
It seems that they all have the same tiresome excuse that they can’t possibly be going to perform for Trump! He claims he speaks for thousands of Mormons around the world, and that they felt the same way he did, and that the Mormon officials needed to listen, blah, blah, blah... that he was broken-hearted, and his heart just sank when he heard they were going to perform, blah blah blah...
Good grief where did these cry-babies come from all of a sudden? The Tabernacle Choir performed for Pres. Johnson, and he was no angel in his past, either. Yet I imagine there were no cry-babies taking up a petition in those days to beg them not to perform. What a soft, spoiled and silly bunch of people we have in this country now a days!
I wonder what they would’ve done if Hillary had won, and she had asked them to come? I suspect we would’ve heard crickets! But the news just has to chase these few people around and print only their silly, crying protests! I also suspect that a lot of those names on there are fake, or are not really from the Mormon church, or if there’s as many as they claim are on the petition. Both Trump/Pence have families with young kids, as well as adults, who might want to hear the Mormon choir perform, it’s a family friendly performance event.
It’s as if they want to control everything, and they don’t want Trump/Pence’s families and others have any entertainment at all! They have no right to decide who Trump/Pence invite to perform, and they have no right to tell people/groups when and where they can perform and who for!
Another liberal “success story” - an emotionally crippled social misfit with no coping abilities.
