I have a friend who’s a birder but I don’t see him often. And I don’t think to ask about birds. He’s part of one of our local political groups and politics always dominates the conversations. LOL!

But he and a few others in the bird group were at the farm every day for a week when a flock of whooping cranes spent time in the county. A week of that time was on our farm and I invited them to come out. They were excited because it was the first time in a few years since the whoopers had last spent time in the area. We keep hoping they’ll do it again and now that I have the new camera with great zoom, I’ll be able to get clear pix. The last ones were a bit blurry, durn it.

I know an eagle nest is about a mile from us but I don’t know the people who own the farm it’s on. Those are probably the eagles we see as they fly to and from the lake.

There are buzzards and hawks galore around here.
Have you ever seen the buzzards fly in a group and they fly in a tornado formation? That is the weirdest thing!

I still have the Berry cam up as I crop and resize more scaps from last season’s bird watching. I STILL haven’t gotten them all done. LOL! And the new season is starting!

I was distracted, trying to get an eagle nest cam to behave. Too many people watching and the site can’t handle the load.

It appears I was distracted by thoughts of going to bed. LOL
