John Kerry urged to cancel Mideast peace speech
New York Post ^ | December 28, 2016 | By Daniel Halper

A key Democratic leader on Capitol Hill is calling on Secretary of State John Kerry to cancel his Middle East peace speech scheduled for Wednesday — coming days after the US allowed an anti-Israel resolution to pass the United Nations.

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), the Democratic whip in the House of Representatives and the second- highest ranking Democrat in leadership, released a blistering statement Tuesday night calling on the Obama administration to cool it.

“Now, it is my understanding that Secretary Kerry, in the last few days of this Administration, intends to outline the parameters of an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. This flies in the face of the United States’s longstanding position that such a formulation should be reached only through negotiations by the parties and not by the United States, the United Nations, or any other third party,” Hoyer said.

“I urge Secretary Kerry and the Administration not to set forth a formula, which will inevitably disadvantage Israel in any negotiation,” Hoyer added.

Instead of turning against Israel, Hoyer urged Kerry — and by extension the rest of the Obama Administration — now to stand with Israel. . .

JOHN KERRY: HUNTER, DREAMER, REALIST; COMPLEXITY INFUSES SENATOR’S AMBITION

By Laura Blumenfeld
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, June 1, 2003; Page A01

John Kerry eats dove. Even better, he shoots them. From behind the stalks of a Southern cornfield, he’ll watch them flutter and dart, and fire.

“You clean them. Let them hang. It takes three or four birds to have a meal,” said the Massachusetts senator. “You might eat it at a picnic, cold roasted. I love dove.”

Dove, quail, duck, deer. Kerry described how to hunt and gut them, talking as he sliced through a steak at midnight after campaigning all day in Iowa for the Democratic presidential nomination. Carve out the heart, he said over dinner, pull out the entrails and cut up the meat. Bad table manners, perhaps, or good politics. After Sept. 11, 2001, some Democrats argue, they can’t take the White House if they sound like doves. That is not a problem for the dove hunter. Kerry, 59, is the only combat veteran in the field. He stands 6-foot-4. He rides a Harley, plays ice hockey, snowboards, windsurfs, kitesurfs, and has such thick, aggressive hair he uses a brush with metal teeth.

“That’s our slogan,” quipped his ad man, Jim Margolis. “John Kerry: He’s no weenie.”

“He doesn’t need a consultant to tell him how to dress like an alpha male,” said his friend Ivan Schlager. “He is a damn alpha male.”

-———————————————————————snip-—————————————————————————

And who is he, really?

A close associate hints: There’s a secret compartment in Kerry’s briefcase. He carries the black attaché everywhere. Asked about it on several occasions, Kerry brushed it aside. Finally, trapped in an interview, he exhaled and clicked open his case.

“Who told you?” he demanded as he reached inside. “My friends don’t know about this.”

The hat was a little mildewy. The green camouflage was fading, the seams fraying.

“My good luck hat,” Kerry said, happy to see it. “Given to me by a CIA guy as we went in for a special mission in Cambodia.”

Kerry put on the hat, pulling the brim over his forehead. His blue button-down shirt and tie clashed with the camouflage. He pointed his finger and raised his thumb, creating an imaginary gun. He looked silly, yet suddenly his campaign message was clear: Citizen-soldier. Linking patriotism to public service. It wasn’t complex after all; it was Kerry.

He smiled and aimed his finger: “Pow.”

John Kerry is trying to distract from failure in Syria with all this hype about the Palestinians and ‘peace’.

Bingo, that is exactly what Kerry is doing. For the outgoing administration, this is a two-fer, they get Aleppo off the front pages and they get to screw Israel.

Val Jarrett strikes again...

Cancellation the emission of CO2 would be a much better idea and certainly would show Kerry is doing his bit to limit climate change than cancelling O2 emissions.

This is big - Steny Hoyer saying this... Methinks Obama’s UN abstention is upsetting some donors or something.

Any such speech would be a list of conditions for Israel which would be impossible for them to concede. The speech would in essence be a message to Palestine “don’t agree to anything that doesn’t contain all these concessions by Israel”.

Can congress vote to require Kerry to ride a bicycle to the place he gives the speech? That should keep him from delivering it (and let him save political face)

according to Times of Israel, Russia’s Lavrov has rejected JK’s framework - preferring direct talks. so it’s possible that if the Quartet/US brings forth disadvantageous plan to Security Council, Russia could veto. stay tuned

From the article:

“The United States must now take steps to signal unequivocally to the entire world that we will continue to stand by our ally Israel as it seeks to build a future of peace and safety as a Jewish state and an equal member of the family of nations,” the Democratic House leader said.

When you've lost Steny Hoyer, Steny Effing Hoyer, there is no way Obama and Kerry can claim evan a shred of victory.

The Democrat Party is in a shambles, and it is delicious.

Donald will stand with Israel, and Israel knows it.

Kerry is a self hating jew. A punk and a fortune hunter. Hopefully, he will try to travel to the mideast as a private citizen so he can be the guest of some of his friends in ISIS.

Kerry was and is the most anti-American Senator and Secretary of State in history. The fact that he was chosen for his anti-Americanism is even worse.

At least someone on that side of the isle has sense enough to know the lasting impact of allowing the Muslim Brotherhood to affect our foreign policy. Hopefully DJT will be able to purge every last one of them. At least Valarie and Huma will be gone for a good start.
