I live in the ‘hood here in Memphis. No pizza company will deliver to my house anymore.
Can’t really blame them.
A pizza place my daughter worked for had a couple published no go zones for the drivers.
She was not a driver btw.
Some places do that and with obviously good reason. I always read these stories because one of my sons lived and worked in the hood delivering pizzas. Glad those days are over.
Since Siror was shot last week, Hurley said at least nine delivery drivers have quit. For now, the store is not delivering to the Bloomfield neighborhood due to safety concerns, he said.
Not sure but I think dominoes tried that and were sued. Discrimination and all that crap
Back in the late 90’s I worked in a behavioral health residential home in South Phoenix. One night I went to order a pizza from Domino’s and had to pick it up myself. The restaurant was locked down like Fort Knox with bullet proof glass. They told me that neighborhood was a no go zone after dark. I delivered pizza for Domino’s a decade earlier in a smaller town in WA and fortunately never felt unsafe. None of my co workers ever got robbed.
“Draw a big red line around the area and declare it too dangerous to serve. Want a pizza? Come to our bullet proof window and order. We’ll slide it out the security drawer so our employees don’t get shot.”
That is what Dominoes does in my hood.
You want a pizza, come and get it.
