The media is not above criticism as well. They have needed to be confronted for a long time as the leftist propagandists they are.

The old media was just a connector, a communication pipe, but an imperfect one. The audience was limited to subscribers and the owners of the “pipe” regulated and censored the information flow.
The internet set the framework for the demise of old media. Anyone could connect potentially to everyone. No filters. No mediators. No censoring of information.
The remnants of old media and the mega-connectors like Facebook still have an impulse to try and control information, but the very design of the internet will defeat them.
The old media advertising model and their captive audience is gone. The MSM has to find a new way or die. Of course, it does not help that their biases are now so easily exposed by the alternative media. That is killing of any remaining credibility the old MSM had. The MSM is a dinosaur looking up at the giant meteor about to impact Earth.
That would be a monumental achievement for Trump.
Let’s help him speed it up by turning off the boob tube and unsubscribing to any rags.

This. The media (New York "News" and Los Angles "Entertainment) need to be destroyed and reconstituted as something beneficial to the Republic. Something that tells the truth and refuses to censor news which is bad for the Democrats. The Entertainment media needs to be forced out of it's role as a propaganda arm for liberal ideas.
They have done much damage and they deserve to be destroyed such that not one stone stands upon another. Salt needs to be sown into their soil.
They elected Carter, Clinton and Obama, and they need to be beaten to death for those crimes alone.

Just Rachel Maddow? All liberals are like that these days and the division in the nation is all the way down to the family level as I discovered at the Christmas get together this past weekend. I have NEVER seen things this bad since I have been alive. Conservatives didn't divide this nation this way, Rachel Maddow and all of the rest like her have done it.
Then, they have the audacity and gall to blame conservatives because we won't join the orgy with them. These people have to go, and some part of the country has to start over and have a strict control as to who gets to come in so we can avoid the influx of evil ideas the next time. The huge mistake of the founding fathers was to not have put a severe restriction on non-Bible-based cultures being allowed to immigrate here.
They have been hiding their hatred for us as well as the desire to eliminate us for a long time, and now the livid hatred for us is out in the open with no offer for compromise on the table at all with these folks. Either, conservatives have to concede and go to evil to make them happy, or, there is going to be a major conflict develop. At least Satan's happy again.
No, they need to be regulated by an independent board of directors which would be elected by the American people. Given that the vast majority of our State legislators and governors are occupied by Republicans, I can safely say the board of directors for the media would be conservative.
If I were on such a board, the first thing I would require of media is to fire their 95% staff of Liberal Democrats, and require the staffing to reflect the political makeup of the rest of the nation. No more than 30% liberals, 40% conservatives, and the remainder independents.
In fact the best we can do is to let the consumer's judge for themselves what sources are trustworthy
That will not work. They have a monopoly, and they do as much damage by hiding information from the public as they do by emphasizing some information excessively, or outright pushing false information.
They did not cover Obama. They ignored all the scandals, deceit and illegalities associated with that greasy bastard. They sent 200 reporters to Wasilla Alaska to dig up dirt on Palin, but they sent nobody to Chicago to find out what an ignorant and dishonest slimeball was Barack Obama.
Their power of hiding things is the power that needs to be taken away from them, and you can't rely on the public to do it because the public cannot act upon what it doesn't know.
So long as the existing media controls what the public is allowed to hear, the public cannot make reasonable decisions.
The next potential leftist strangle point of the news is Google ad-words. Anybody can easily create and distribute video content these days, and if it is good, viewers will find it and watch it. But people are not going to be able to afford to keep making good stuff unless they can monetize it, and Google holds all the power there. I expect this to become a more and more prominent issue.

Yes we can hope that the MSM crumbles into dust and is blown away by the next globull warming zephyr. They slit their own throats because they couldn’t fool ALL the people ALL the time. Lots of opportunities for real honest journalists to step up but who would hire them? She really needs to be terminated and permanently banned from working in the media for the rest of her life for the above video. Anyone who hires her or approves of her must also suffer the consequences. This type of thing can not be allowed from either side in the future. That is NOT news.
