U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Monday took to Twitter to criticize the United Nations.

“The United Nations has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time. So sad!” ...

After Trump suggests the US defund the UN, indeed “things will be different”. Trump has stated a number of times that other nations need to carry the burden of supporting such organizations and/or countries, he is not one to waste money when he can “get a better deal”. I see changes coming and in the not too distant future. (Make them all pay their traffic fines before they leave)

“The UN is an idealistic dream. Unfortunately human nature in the form of greed, quest for power, etc. makes this organization worst than useless as it will never come together to work for the better of mankind as at least half the world is wants domination of mankind.”

I’m not sure it was ever an idealistic dream. Alger Hiss, a doctrinaire communist spy in the US State Dept wrote the UN Charter. So it was sold as an idealistic dream to gullible Americans. But it never was.

On the other hand, it hasn’t become the world governing body as the Hiss’s and globalists wanted. Rather, its become a place for third-world grifters to earn a good living advancing socialism.

Instead of giving the un billions of dollars, why not cut every American whose been paying income or self employment taxes for the last few years a reward. (and a hand up for a change)

Give the people who've been paying the bills a payment of $50,000. - $100,000. each with stipulations of the money being spent/used here in the U.S.A...

every American whose been paying income or self employment taxes

The US contribution to the UN is $3 billion so each taxpayer would get about $2500.

It’s not just the UN that is bad:(per Wiki)

Reactions by Security Council states to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334

France and Venezuela: Ambassadors from France and Venezuela called the resolution’s passage historic.[28] No Security Council resolution had addressed the issue of Israeli settlements since 1980.[6]

Malaysia: Prime Minister Najib Razak described the vote as “a victory to the people of Palestine”.[29]

New Zealand: Foreign Minister Murray McCully stated that “We have been very open about our view that the [UN Security Council] should be doing more to support the Middle East peace process and the position we adopted today is totally in line with our long established policy on the Palestinian question” and that “the vote today should not come as a surprise to anyone and we look forward to continuing to engage constructively with all parties on this issue”.[30][31]

United States: United States Secretary of State John Kerry said the United States could not “stand in the way of a resolution at the United Nations that makes clear that both sides must act now to preserve the possibility of peace” and said the resolution “rightly condemns violence and incitement and settlement activity.”[32] A White House spokesman said the resolution “expresses the consensus international view on Israeli settlement activity.”[33]
Reactions by other states

Belgium: Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Didier Reynders welcomed the resolution, stating that “Belgium fully shares the position of the international community expressed in this resolution” and that “the settlement policy of the territories occupied by Israel is illegal, and its continuation seriously jeopardizes the possibility of a two-state solution.”[34]

Germany: Foreign Minister and Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE Frank-Walter Steinmeier welcomed the resolution and said it confirms what has long been the position of the German government, stating that the Israeli settlement of occupied territory is an obstacle to peace and a two-state solution.[35]

Norway: Foreign Minister Børge Brende welcomed the resolution and said it must be the basis for a solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. He said that “it is important that Israel complies with it, because the settlements are in violation of international law”.[36]

Sweden: Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Margot Wallström welcomed the resolution and said it confirms the position of both the EU and Sweden on the continued Israeli settlement of the occupied West Bank.[37]

"Trump should only refer to the UN resolution as: 'the Obama Israel Doctrine.'”

We need to scrub his name and image from our history. Call it, The Ayatollah Jarrett Doctrine.

I doubt more than 20 percent would agree with Trump on this. People truly believe the UN “promotes world peace” even though it doesn’t. It’s part of the psychological manipulation of the uninformed......Are you really sure?

/theodore R. is probably right. Per Gallup they're at 38% good job, 54% poor job. Not enough to defund or withdraw. I doubt you could get it through a Republican Congress. Reduce contributions, you bet, especially if focused on the on problematical agencies of which there are plenty. Even a 10% reduction would get their attention

I will have my own personal boycott of Israel backstabbers.

After all the terrorist attacks by Muslims this year, these Jew haters stab Israel in the back the way the Fake Pally’s do every week in Israel. The running over pedestrians done in Germany was done many times last year in Israel..

Rewarding the fake Palestinians is not the way. Cut off their USA aid and give it to Bibi.
