LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Jefferson Mall closed its doors an hour early Monday night due to a large group of loitering teens.
A post on the Jefferson Mall's Facebook page says it closed early at the recommendation of local authorities.
Louisville Metro Police Department officials said it was the mall management's decision to close.
Police had an increased presence at the mall and officers helped get everybody out.
Mitchell said approximately 75 youth were running through the mall causing a bit of a disturbance.
There were no injuries, no reports of thefts and no arrests.
Police said it was not like the night after Christmas last year at Mall Saint Matthews where the uproar from a large group of teens led to stricter security.
Jefferson Mall will reopen Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Just to add to tonight's collection of similar incidents. What are we up to? Half a dozen?

That is a busy stretch of retail road where the mall is located.
I wonder if the people who write these stories think that anyone actually falls for the youth and teen code words. Of course not. They will just pretend and keep pretending in the hope that all of this will somehow go away all on its own. Rather than getting worse as it is doing.

The Black Plague has permanently shut down many Malls nationwide. Giant enclosed malls are no longer being built but complexes of big box stores with their own parking lots mixed with smaller stores seem to be the new in thing.
I guess the black mobs are easier to isolate with that plan.
