I thought Mel Gibson did a great job along with Greg Kinnear displaying the heroism of Vietnam vets in We Were Soldiers.
I saw it twice in local theatre. I took my son the second time to tell him the movie showed what I could not explain to him.
The best part was that last boot leaving the ground. I served with Army majors on their 2nd tour flying dustoff. Many still had the scars from the crashes they survived their first tours.
We had to learn very fast, how to get it done and survive to get it done again tomorrow.
