If Conway had performed the same role in Hillary's campaign, the media would be hailing her as a genius, "the woman who elected Hillary," and she'd be the subject of flattering, softball interviews in People, Time, and Newsweek. She'd be boogying with Ellen and sharing jokes and recipes with Oprah. But as it is, she's just kinda there.

What she did was kind of remarkable. She took a campaign that was down in the polls, had struggled with internal problems, was dealing with unprecedented media hostility, and won.
