Video focused entirely on skin color.
MTV deleted its controversial Resolutions for White Guys video after the network suffered severe backlash from viewers:
Heres a copy of the video uploaded to YouTube after MTV deleted the original:
The original video, which received over 11,000 down votes compared to just 89 up votes, told white guys they could do a little better in 2017.
Just because you have black friends doesnt mean youre not racist, the video claimed. You can be racist with black friends.
And feel free to take Kanye West, though. You guys can have him.
West was targeted for meeting with President-elect Donald Trump last week.
Critics of the video called it racist for focusing entirely on skin color and for personally attacking white viewers.
As an Irish person anytime someone insists all white people are privileged I just have to laugh, one reddit user commented. Try reading a history book about Ireland and youll hear all about a nation of white people who were anything but privileged.
Heres a transcript of the original video:
White male #1: Hey, fellow white guys!
Non-white male #1: Its about to be a new year.
Black male #1: And theres a few things we think you could do a little bit better in 2017.
[Title On-Screen: 2017 Resolutions for White Guys]
Non-white female #1: First off, try to recognize that America was never great for anyone who wasnt a white guy.
Non-white female #2: Can we all just agree that Black Lives Matter isnt the opposite of all lives matter? Black lives just matter. Theres no need to overcomplicate it.
White male #1: Also, Blue Lives Matter isnt a thing.
Black male #1: Cops werent born with blue skin right? I mean yeah! They werent born blue.
White male #2: Stop bragging about being woke.
Non-white male #1: Stop saying woke.
White female #1: Learn what mansplaining is and then stop doing it.
White male #1: Oh, and if youre a judge, then dont prioritize the well-being of an Ivy League athlete over the woman he assaulted.
Black male #1: We all love Beyonce and yeah, shes black, so of course she cares about black issues. Im talking to you, Fox News.
Non-while female #2: Feel free to take Kanye West, though. You guys can have him.
Black male #1: You know what you did, Kanye.
White male #2: Nobody who has black friends says that they have black friends.
Black male #1: And just because you have black friends doesnt mean youre not racist. You can be racist with black friends.
Non-white male #1: Look, guys, we know nobodys perfect.
Non-white female #1: But honestly, you can do a little better in 2017.
White female #1: Some of you guys do a great job. Some of you dont.
Black male #1: Please cause 2016 was bad. 2017 cant be worse than this, alright? Cause this is bad.
2017
Year of the white male.
Hey, MTV, good luck getting that toothpaste back in the tube!
MT what? What TV?
Moron TV.
Music TV..Wheres the frigen Music?
I used to love, I made 100dreds of tapes from it.
When the Music ended I shut it down.
Now its only mindless children expressing senseless BS
MTV was better when they actually played music.
They lost it in the late 80s when they switched from pop and rock to hip hop and rap.
Was think of a new replacement word for the M.Thanks you did it for me.

White female #1: First off, try to recognize that America was always great for everyone, and it was mostly due to white guys.
White female #2: Can we all just agree that Black Lives Matter is racist? Black lives do matter, but all lives matter and singling one out makes the less seem unimportant.
Black male #1: Also, Blue Lives Matter too.
Black male #1: Cops are there to uphold the law, for all citizens.
Black male #2: Stop harping on diversity.
Black male #1: Stop saying diversity, we all know it means get rid of white males.
Black female #1: Learn what “chimping out” is and then stop doing it.
Black male #1: Oh, and if youre a judge, then dont prioritize the well-being of a criminal thug over the woman he assaulted just because he’s black and she’s white.
White male #1: We all love Taylor Swift and yeah, shes white, so of course she cares about white issues. Im talking to you, NBC.
White female #2: Feel free to take Katy Perry, though. You guys can have her.
White male #1: You know what you did, Katy.
White male #2: Nobody who has white friends says that they have white friends.
Black male #1: And just because you have white friends doesnt mean youre not racist. You can be racist with white friends, especially if you only have them so you can hit them up for money “to tide me over ‘til payday”.
White male #1: Look, guys, we know nobodys perfect.
White female #1: But honestly, you can do a little better in 2017.
Black female #1: Some of you guys do a great job. Some of you dont.

And... #ThatsWhyYouGotTrump
I think they lost it when they started making shows like the Real World and Singled Out IMO.
And Jackass.
I remember the old days when MTV was about musicvideo’s!
And everyone loves to be lectured by mindless children with a superior attitude. Which is what this video is.
Its refreshing to see adults in charge.
Touche!
MTV isn’t a thing anymore
Yes. Condescension and arrogance are one thing when they come from somebody who is intelligent, accomplished and succesful. However, when it comes from smarmy SWJs whose biggest accomplishment in life has been appearing on MTV, it is nothing but laughable.
Umm, saying all lives matter isn't complicating it, it's simplifying it, moron.
