There's an awful lot of angst in the tech industry about what a Donald Trump administration will do, and if he'll follow through on some of the more divisive promises he made on the campaign trail.
On Tuesday, an Oracle employee working on the company's all-important cloud business publicly quit the company via a letter posted to LinkedIn. George Polisner was protesting Oracle CEO Safra Catz's decision to join Trump's transition team.
Catz was part of a room full of tech industry leaders that met with the president-elect last week at Trump Tower in New York. Before the meeting, Catz said, "I plan to tell the president-elect that we are with him and will help in any way we can. If he can reform the tax code, reduce regulation and negotiate better trade deals, the U.S. technology industry will be stronger and more competitive than ever."
Immediately after the meeting, Catz said she was joining Trumps transition team, even as she remained in her post as co-CEO of Oracle.
Polisner, who is an active Democrat in his state of Oregon, had a long list of reasons why he was wary of a Trump administration, ranging from concerns over how Trump will change Social Security and Medicare to policies on social issues and decisions that will impact the environment.
In his public resignation letter, Polisner explained, "I am not with President-elect Trump and I am not here to help him in any way. In fact when his policies border on the unconstitutional, the criminal and the morally unjust I am here to oppose him in every possible and legal way. Therefore I must resign from this once great company."

I find LinkedIn just as obnoxious as FB. Not sure how long I’ll stay there.
And how many work on Oracle’s cloud business? We all know this kind, whining all the time, complaining about how unfair this or that is. I’ll bet most of those who had to deal with him are glad to see him go.
For a couple of years, even Steve Jobs was replaced at Apple.
I guess he couldn’t get along with anybody, and they got tired of his Mind Games. Jobs later returned, of course, but that temporary divorce probably helped make him a more effective CEO in the long run. Ashton Kutcher was in one of the many movies about Steve Jobs, but even after all these years after “That 70’s Show”, Ashton may have been too ‘lightweight’ a personality for that role. Too much like a ‘Jethro” clown.
I would have cast Keanu Reeves, the Matrix Star.
fire them.
This juvenile hates Trump but has no problem being an “activist” in a party that discriminates against whites and asians, quota driven, socialist, crooks (see a whole laundry list), illegal immigrants, welfare state dependency, Ferguson, dope(s), perversion, #pizza, UnJustice Dept, thousands of unvetted “refugees”
IOW, this clown has no morals, no values, and is a hypocrite of the worst kind
Oracle thanks him . . .for his resignation
FTG.
They can all resign.
There’s a lot of people who would love to have a job no matter who won.
The woman who resigned from IBM over Trump sounds like a piece of work:

As a captive Oracle R12 user, I’d like to tell Oracle where to put it, when it comes to how their system has some of the dumbest limitations and it’s lack of user friendly interfaces. How about making a better product instead of organizing a protest you big over-paid crybaby.
Holy smokes. A boon
for these companies to see liberal idiots leave.
What policies? He's not the president yet you...
And 100-1 he lives in a white neighborhood
22 seconds...
Paris has a scarcity of bar tenders these days
Polisner can go scoop ice cream at a Honolulu Baskin Robbins.
Maybe someday he’ll be president!
You guys....gator humor no doubt.
You are so correct these snowflakes REALLY do believe they are irreplaceable they have NO IDEA what the HELL the REAL WORLD is all about!!! This person has NO concern about how the tax policies, or regulation policies will help the business he works for!!! I hope and pray other business owners realize the selfishness of this person and REJECT his resume!!! I hope he is without work for a VERY LONG period of time!!!
So on his next application he’ll have to have a requirement that the potential employer NOT support President Trump (PTrump, for a nickname, I’m thinkin’), or else he will not consider them. That’s going to narrow his prospects considerably, I should imagine.
I hope this little red@$$ trick puts a BIG blotch on his employability.
