I just don’t understand.

But be patient with me, I DO know a bit about Germans.

Coincidentally.

We begin with the fact that this is a country that started two world wars. And the Nazis.....6 million people they murdered. These might be evil people did that but they would never be called cowardly.

Now they let people ladida just waltz into their country, rape their women and murder their people.

There is no resemblance of Angela Merkel to Adolf Hitler. Yet they both led the same country....what the hell?

So okay my stepfather was from Germany. They escaped back when the Berlin wall was a big thing. My stepfather, his brother and his sister were buried under a blanket in the back of the car. Had they made a sound they would have been sent back to East Germany, where they are from.

My stepfather was a great American, joining the army, for sure he got his citizenship. That whole family was the hardest working and they learned English....boom, NOBODY ever spoke German around these people. They always spoke English.

Now my stepfather and I were not especially close but we kept in contact, slightly, after my mother died. I remember the last time I talked to him he told me he was voting for Obama, that he didn’t like Dubya. He was, to my shock, a LIBERAL!

In fact we had a little contretemps about it.

I am still flabberghasted. Although my stepfather, rest his soul, died little over a year ago. He left me $500, I don’t know what that was all about.

Hard working, the Germans. Cheap....the nice would call it careful spending. Not very emotional.

But odd, I’m telling you, odd people.
