I also did the same because some of these people were not who I thought they were. Some of them were old “friends” who wrote the most hateful things about Trump and his supporters.
I didn’t really mind them saying bad things about Trump. It was when they insult ed his supporters, which since I was one, they were insulting me.
Most were “old friends” that I would never see again anyway. Whtever that thing was that made us friends, long passed. I cut off two cousins and three sister in laws.
