Despite his wealth, Tillerson is one of Buckley’s first 400 names in the phone book and therefore much different to the lowliest DC bureaucrat or the Harvard faculty.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with this man. It has reinforced my support for both President-elect Trump and Mr. Tillerson.

My family and friends that have done business with Tillerson would echo the sentiments in this story. They would also tell that you should not be lulled into a sense that Tillerson is soft. The man has a titanium spine and will use it when necessary.

“I didnt vote for Trump.”
So she voted for the wife/enabler of a sexual predator? I bet she doesn’t see the irony in that.

There are a lot of people in this world who hate me for what I do, so they give me and my family folks to write puff pieces like this to protect me.
Oh, I’m just being cynical.
I wish him well. The Mid East is such a cesspool of intrigue, no one could ever figure it out, without knowing the darkest secrets of the oil business.

Deep contrast in behavior compared to another secretary of state faced with protecting an abused child.

In America, the first requirement for elected or appointive public service is good character. Our system is dependent upon people of virtue.
As J. C. Watts defined it, "Character is doing what's right when nobody's lookin'".
I'd say Mr. Tillerson has met the test.

Not only an interesting story, but an incredible one as well. Trump knows how to pick them. In four years Trump will absolutely demolish the Democrat candidate. That’s because all of those NeverTrump people will realize just how wrong they were, along with all of the snowflakes that are having emotional issues dealing with Trump because they bought the image the press tried unsuccessfully to paint him as, thankfully by enough people in this country. They will all know better in four years.

Tillerson has serious baggage. He is a big supporter of planned parenthood and homos as scout leaders.

I’m glad I took the time to read this pierce and thank you for posting.
Among other things, I’m impressed with the way he persuaded the other jurors. He may have already known about the nature of doubt as defined legally, or, knowing he’d be on a jury, taken time to research it. Either way, he was persuasive. This, together with knowledge are vital for a successful SoS.
He may surprise us all.

...Mr. Tillerson began to speak. Humbly, delicately, and without an ounce of condescension toward those who disagreed, he began walking us all through the details of the case. I even recall being moved by his thorough explanation about the nature of doubt and the standards set forth by our justice system. With great patience, this man who strikes multi-billion dollar deals with foreign heads of state brought our scrappy jury together to bring a sexual predator to justice and to deliver justice for a scared and deeply wounded little girl. Trump found a good man... we must NOT allow corrupt democrats to destroy him.
