It appears clear enough that he has not only leaked classified information. He has done so for partisan political purposes. The US is now one step closer to a Banana Republic.
ACC has just run a story about how the FBI now reportedly agrees with the CIA that Russia tried to influence our election. We quoted the Daily Caller which said:
“The CIA has not issued any public statements, and all assertions are based on anonymous leaks.”
This may be technically true, but is misleading. We now know pretty clearly who has been leaking from the CIA.
NPR reported yesterday that John Brennan, the head of the CIA, sent a written message to CIA staff members stating that the FBI now agreed with the CIA assertion of Russian interference in the election. NPR itself noted that Brennen knew perfectly well that a general message to employees would be leaked. In effect, he was asking the CIA staff to leak it. So here we have an instance of the head of the CIA leaking conclusions from a classified report although in a roundabout way.
It really was bad enough for the secretary of state and her staff to treat classified information as she did. Has no one in Washington learned anything from this? And what does it tell us that the leaker is the head of the CIA, where secrecy is supposed to be greatest?
When the CIA was founded after WW2, some commentators warned that having a super secret spy agency inside our government was not a good idea, that it might eventually try to influence or even subvert our democracy. Rumors of the CIA working with the Mafia and the like in the past were just rumors. But there now seems no doubt that the agency has leaked classified information knowing that it will be used for a highly partisan political purpose, to undermine the legitimacy of the Trump election.
I don’t know how others will react to this, but I find it more than troubling that the head of the CIA could in this way inject himself into domestic politics.
I think on Monday or Tuesday, we’ll get a public statement from Comey or Clapper, where they contradict what Brennan said.
People do not “get” it.
Obama has bee working for the Saudi Royal family for quite a while. They paid for his legal education if he agreed to be a “mole” for them in our government.
James Brennan, too, has been an agent for the Saudi Royals since serving there in Arabia years ago.
We must alter our diplomatic relationship with Saudi Arabia. They are not our friends.
Never is all my years did I think I’d ever see the day when the CIA became just another tentacle of the DNC. Sad.

If the truth were known Obama has planted his seeds in every agency of consequence and they will have an influence in days to come. I have heard from someone who retired from the Pentagon who says Obama has planted lefties throughout.
Frequently, polidiots, and many democrats and presstitutes, refer to the United States as a democracy. Others find this aggravating because, unlike in a democracy where citizens vote directly on laws, in the United States, elected representatives do – and, therefore, the U.S. is a republic......
...which is why the swamp must truly be drained. Trump may have to shut down entire agencies to get rid of them and then rebirth them from scratch. Any promotions over the last 8 years must be carefully scrutinized to weed out those promoted for political reasons.
Trump is going to have to fumigate all of these agencies. That’s why so many of them are trying to force a coup and takeover of the government by the commie ‘RATS.
That would be rich but I wouldn't count on it. The FBI has been told to get it's head right.
However, both democracy and republic have more than a single meaning, and one of the definitions we provide for democracy closely resembles the definition of republic given above: “a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.”
So if someone asks you if the United States is a democracy or a republic, you may safely answer the question with either “both” or “it depends.”

The OSS was created in 1942/43 for covert activities during ww2. Once ww2 ended in 1945 the OSS was disbanded. In 47 the CIA was created as a means to interpret intelligence from the War Dept (maybe Defense Dept at this time) and Dept of State. There was no covert activities allowed or specified in the bill Truman signed. They immediately began hiring ex-OSS employees who were active in the covert programs during the war.
In 1948, Truman wrote an op ed in the NYT saying he never would of signed the authorization bill if he had known the CIA was going to do covert activities.
In the Church hearings it was stated that since the CIA was founded, it had performed over 10,000 covert actions. All of them illegal.

Evidence of its continuity may possibly include the false mainstream media assertion of the existence of WMDs in Iraq that led to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and ongoing efforts to label Wiki leaks documents as “fake news” by the same media outlets that were implicated by name by the Church Committee congressional hearings.
Begun in the 1950s, it was initially organized by Cord Meyer and Allen W. Dulles, and was later led by Frank Wisner after Dulles became the head of the CIA. The organization recruited leading American journalists into a propaganda network to help present the CIA’s views.
It funded some student and cultural organizations and magazines as fronts. As it developed, it also worked to influence foreign media and political campaigns, in addition to activities by other operating units of the CIA.
The CIA’s use of journalists continued unabated until 1973, when the program was scaled back, allegedly finally coming to a halt in 1976 when George H.W. Bush took over as director.
However this cannot be proven for a fact as the majority of documents pertaining to this operation were destroyed by the CIA while the Church Committee investigations were underway, undermining the credibility of the extent of the CIA’s cooperation with investigators.
In addition to earlier exposés of CIA activities in foreign affairs, in 1966, Ramparts magazine published an article revealing that the National Student Association was funded by the CIA. The United States Congress investigated the allegations and published a report in 1976. Other accounts were also published. The media operation was first called Mockingbird in Deborah Davis’s 1979 book, Katharine the Great: Katharine Graham and The Washington Post.
