The 2008 version of the GOP was finished. Is finished.

First came the tea party. Then came Trump populism. No way any GOPe candidate would have beaten the left this past election. Someone like Kasich or Bush or Rubio? Even Cruz. It would have been a total slaughter.

No doubt, but the fact is that political Parties have their ups and downs.

The Democrats will gain seats in the House in the off year election.

Absolutely true, Cruz was the only fighter but he went too right and was well on his way to building a short tent. Trump fought like he was the third lion on the ramp up the Ark.
