You're right. Drone permits to Amazon will be issued based on whether public safety is guaranteed and indemnified in advance only...in the new Trump Administration.
Now, whether an Amazon drone will be permitted to land and depart safely from one's property is another matter up for negotiation with Amazon. UPS, USPS, and FeEx must park on the road/street and carry the delivery to the proper address, unless prior arrangement has been made.
Corruption?
No. Just business in a new Administration. Amazon.com at all costs does not necessarily equal America's best interests.
