Someone summed it up this week for me:
Newspapers and magazines have become blogs for billionaires. They operate at a loss, but are owned so the billions can be influence peddlers.
Washington Post - Bezos. Pays no property taxes, local taxes, or state taxes.
New York Times - owned by the Mexican billionaire (drug money??) Carlos Slim and made billions selling 5 or 6 ObamaPhones to the Obama voter crowd. Wants open borders to keep the flow of illegals and drugs into our country and flow of cash out of it.
The absurdity of the old media crowd was summed up with this week David Brock said he wanted to start his ‘own version of Breitbart for the left.’
They control all these newspapers, AP, Reuters, ABC NBC CBS and Fox is also open borders (Murdoch is on the board of an open boards group), Yahoo, Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Hollywood ....
and they are worried about ONE DAMN WEBSITE??!!!
That sums up where we are Dec. 2016.
David Brock is such a putz. The left already has Puffington Post and so many other Breitbart wannabes. Their problems have nothing to do with lack of access or resources, of course. The leftards enjoy massive access and resources. What they lack is intelligent, coherent, patriotic messaging, real thought, and competence.
Someone like Peter Thiel needs to go into the media business - sponsoring a Silicon Valley-based libertarian/conservative TV channel and newspaper. Need to take the fight to the enemy in territory they take for granted - but shouldn't dare to.
