About every day, there’s another update to this story.

When they first arrested this “kid”, I suggested that he might not be 17 years old (they have to use child court, and 10 years in prison is max that you give him). The authorities came out two days later to say they were absolutely sure about his age.

Then some journalists got involved and started asking the right questions. I would speculate that they went to people around him, and they pointed at Greece. So they took a picture of the guy and suddenly found that in Corfu...he’d attempted to murder some Greek gal in 2013 at age 17 (thats what his passport said at the time). Sentenced to 10 years in prison.

This lit up the cops, and they sent someone to ask questions. All proven true. His defense lawyer even looked at the picture from Germany and said it’s the same guy.

Greeks say that a Greek judge came up at 18 months and freed him. Why? No one says. Maybe they dump foreigners out as quickly as possible. Maybe the judge got paid something by someone (I doubt this). But they let the guy go and didn’t give him his passport (this is the story presently). They must have hinted that he needed to leave Greece. So in the spring of 2015....he left for Germany.

He arrives and gives them his age at that point of 16...so he would be treated as a juvenile and better chance to remain in Germany. Yeah, they actually have regulations in effect that gives you a statistical better chance for a visa.

The amount of review on his case? They obviously just scratched around and just blessed the guy....never asking Greece anything.

Presently? He’s in a hospital in Frieburg and I suspect that they are doing age-testing on him and will confirm he is a minimum of 20....maybe even 24.

This makes the Interior Ministry look stupid, and especially BaMF (the agency handling reviews). He will probably be proven to be at least 20 years old and go into adult court...for a maximum of 20 years in prison.

But here’s the bigger question. How many more cases like this exist? How many fake teens exist in this whole thing? A thousand? Ten-thousand? Unknown.

In Freiburg, and southwest Germany....this is all front-page news. Nationally, the state-run networks are being careful to refrain from telling the whole story. Reason given is that they don’t cover regional murder cases normally.

I would take a humble guess that they’ve opened up the folder of murders since the summer of 2015 in SW Germany and seeing if any other murders of women might fit into this guy’s agenda. At some point, I also think his lawyer will say that he’s “crazy” and needs to be institutionalized. If that does occur....what does it say about the review process for a visa?
