A teenaged Afghan refugee accused of raping and murdering a young medical student in Germany had tried to kill once before, it emerged today. Stern magazine reported that Hussein Khavari, 17, had thrown a 20-year-old student off a cliff on Corfu, Greece, in May 2013. The woman was severely injured but 'miraculously' survived and was able to identify her attacker. Khavari, who sits in detention in Germany after his DNA linked him to the October sex killing of Maria Ladenburger, 19, in Freiburg, was given a 10 year jail term by a Greek court.

I read the other day that nearly two thirds of Dutch prisoners are of “immigrant background.” If German prisons are similar, then, no, there wouldn’t be much prison impulse to drop him on his head, unless the Germans have caged up a bunch of neo-Nazis.
Woman on her own equals whore. Whore equals fair game. Whore deserves death. What crime? He did her family a favor, although they are too corrupt to know it.
That’s right. I think they were getting 31k to intake Mexicans and C. Americans. Middle Eastern & Somalians are in excess of 60k per head.
Many of these organizations are fairly new with major denominational sounding names and appear to have been set up specifically for this purpose.
Screw the American tax payor and keep quiet about the invasion so they can pull down triple digit salaries.
Once church organizations become profiting arms of the fedgov, they should lose their 501C status.
Enemy combatant.....should of hung him after the cliff throwing.
It’s simply a version of the Marielito boatlift the US got suckered with by Cuba.
It’s the sickest idea I’ve seen in a long time!!
Many criminals never stop unless incarcerated or eliminated. There are many criminals around us.
Stay alert, informed, prepared, safe, armed.
They misspelled rapeugees.
About every day, there’s another update to this story.
When they first arrested this “kid”, I suggested that he might not be 17 years old (they have to use child court, and 10 years in prison is max that you give him). The authorities came out two days later to say they were absolutely sure about his age.
Then some journalists got involved and started asking the right questions. I would speculate that they went to people around him, and they pointed at Greece. So they took a picture of the guy and suddenly found that in Corfu...he’d attempted to murder some Greek gal in 2013 at age 17 (thats what his passport said at the time). Sentenced to 10 years in prison.
This lit up the cops, and they sent someone to ask questions. All proven true. His defense lawyer even looked at the picture from Germany and said it’s the same guy.
Greeks say that a Greek judge came up at 18 months and freed him. Why? No one says. Maybe they dump foreigners out as quickly as possible. Maybe the judge got paid something by someone (I doubt this). But they let the guy go and didn’t give him his passport (this is the story presently). They must have hinted that he needed to leave Greece. So in the spring of 2015....he left for Germany.
He arrives and gives them his age at that point of 16...so he would be treated as a juvenile and better chance to remain in Germany. Yeah, they actually have regulations in effect that gives you a statistical better chance for a visa.
The amount of review on his case? They obviously just scratched around and just blessed the guy....never asking Greece anything.
Presently? He’s in a hospital in Frieburg and I suspect that they are doing age-testing on him and will confirm he is a minimum of 20....maybe even 24.
This makes the Interior Ministry look stupid, and especially BaMF (the agency handling reviews). He will probably be proven to be at least 20 years old and go into adult court...for a maximum of 20 years in prison.
But here’s the bigger question. How many more cases like this exist? How many fake teens exist in this whole thing? A thousand? Ten-thousand? Unknown.
In Freiburg, and southwest Germany....this is all front-page news. Nationally, the state-run networks are being careful to refrain from telling the whole story. Reason given is that they don’t cover regional murder cases normally.
I would take a humble guess that they’ve opened up the folder of murders since the summer of 2015 in SW Germany and seeing if any other murders of women might fit into this guy’s agenda. At some point, I also think his lawyer will say that he’s “crazy” and needs to be institutionalized. If that does occur....what does it say about the review process for a visa?
Yes, that's the real question.
I've been reading your blog about this, very sad, I hope the German authorities put this guy away for the foreseeable future.
But how many others like him.......?
They had some piece on the news about two months ago talking over the problem of fake passports. They’ve only begun using technology this past summer to detect these and it’s not being widely used. The second issue is that there are only a small number of trained people who can recognize the passports (lot of high quality fakes around).
In this kid’s case, I don’t think he even had a passport. Like a lot....he just said he was ‘so-and-so’ and they just did a brief review and vetted him for a visa. This under-18 gimmick is brilliant.
It’s anyone’s guess on others in this category. I read in 2015 that number of Afghans were trying to get fake Syrian passports because it was a higher pass rate on the visa business....so these high numbers of Syrian refugees....might not be correct either (don’t bring that up to a German).
