Cataract implant lenses are done through surgery. I had my cataract surgery done for both of my eyes one month apart done at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) at Fort Campbell KY by my ophthalmologist
I know, had my first one done 16 yrs ago, surgeon was sloppy, big name eye institute for our area, he used the wrong strength implant and nicked a nerve, I’ve had Neuropathy burning in the eye ever since. Second one 6 yrs ago, different surgeon no problems except the film that had to be removed.
I’m at a point glasses don’t work any more. I did not have astigmatism before, I do now. Nor the dry eye infections, dry spots on both corneas. My bifocal sees in reverse minimizes instead of magnifying print. World is a blur at all distances. Vision Yo-Yo’s from 20/60 to 20/30 in the left eye with the wrong implant, and it can’t be fixed. See the Neuro Cornea Doc next week. I have nerve Neuropathy down my entire right side due to degenerative and damaged spine and drugs can’t even begin to control it. What works is FDA/DEA restricted. I hate having to pee in a bottle to get a seizure med for nerve pain like I am a street junkie. I’ve been on 8 seizure meds, only 1 works with out tons of side effects, and every one is on the DEA restriction list. And Valium is limited to 20 mg a day. That is 2 doses. Last 4 hrs.
And I positively LOATH my STUPID Primary she can’t even get a script right. She took the place of her partner who had to medically retire, I liked him and he was a good doctor. And can’t find a replacement thanks to DUMBOCARE gutting Medicare/Tricare Life few doctors will take new patients.
