Trevor Noah seems to be on borrowed time at Comedy Central.

The man who replaced Jon Stewart as host of “The Daily Show” on Sept. 28, 2015, has seen half the show’s audience disappear in a year.

Having started off with more than 1 million viewers, Noah has slipped to 810,000, compared to the 1.9 million viewers Stewart had before he went off the air in August 2015.

Liberals are mostly big adolescents with a childish sense of humor, it seems, and certainly never self-mocking or nuanced. Often just mean name calling with lots of curse words. No adult enjoys that ‘humor’.

Typical “phenomenon” in the entertainment industry since the 1900’s.
I guess they don’t want the average public to recognize their ubiquituous presence in this industry.

But...but...but...he’s “clean” and “articulate”...whatever went wrong there?

Joking aside, I watched one half of one show with the new South African expatriate host (having previously seen him as a guest on the show) and fell asleep...or turned it off...can’t remember, don’t care enough. Bigoted and annoying snooze-fest. Stewart at least had some pizzazz, leftist bastard that he is. That I could live with.

Stewart was a one trick pony, Trevor and Samantha Bee aren’t even a 1/2 trick pony combined.

I think part of the problem is the so called “informed” liberals, who actually thought they were up on current events because they watched this drivel learned the hard way Nov 8, that watching someone trying to pawn off mockery as serious intellectual and political thought, doesn’t make you informed or competent.

We haven’t watched late night TV since Johnny Carson. The young adults in our family do not watch TV at all, with the exception of some sporting events. TV may be reserved for sports in the future.

Oliver at least has some intellect, but Noah and Bee truly are just more boring and less funny than a 1990s SNL episode.

...Samantha Bee...

Oh yeah, Samantha Bee. I remember seeing the promotions for her COMEDY show on TNT. Then I caught wind of her foulness.

Not funny. At. All.

TNT should cancel her hack crap. Trying real hard to be the female Bill Maher without the balance. (I say that tongue in cheek. Maher isn't balanced.)

Krauthammer, or however you spell it, was on once.

I watched that back and forth and it was bearable.

Other than that, don’t remember watching.

Having a lame-duck-loser president on the show to complain about slavery probably didn’t do much to help his ratings none.

Gee, who would have thought a Nancy pants throwing Hissy Fits every night would turn people off?

Sure, it was a crazy idea to give the show to an unknown South African with a pronounced accent.

Compared to Noah, John Oliver wouldn't have been an awful pick: he's a foreigner, but he's easier to understand.

“smug, talentless, leftist a-holes...” One reason why I stopped watching ESPN with scant exceptions.

True, but now *they* can play the "race card" and keep most of the useful idiots that watch the show, including those in the LSM.

It’s on Comedy Channel over here. I tried to watch it twice but after 5 minutes of nothing funny to laugh about while only hearing some fake audience having to laugh I gave up on it.

I watched the show tonight, regretting that I’ll never get that 30 minutes back. Not funny at all, his skit was sophomoric.

I beg to differ, Trevor Noah IS funny -- when he's talking about little funny things in South Africa. He knows his native land and makes fun jokes that work in that context. The daily show is very US-focused. Trevor's brand doesn't work with this.

He's the wrong guy for the show, he would be good for a Daily Johannesburg Show, but not this one.
