Im not any kind of cop basher, i know a few, but I do not understand this at all... no tasers at least? why??

Internal Affairs is going to be looking at the shooting. One officer was involved.
He may or may not face criminal charges but his life is already ruined.
Shooting someone’s grandfather is not a mark you want to have on your police record.
you don't have to be a cop basher to count the number of bad shootings that have occurred over the years, and the number of times the bad shooter walks away without any repercussions. You have every right to ask "why".
