Jesus Mocked, Kicked During Nativity Scene On Seth MacFarlane's 'Family Guy'

Family Guy is no stranger to bashing Christianity and Sunday night’s Christmas episode, “How the Griffin Stole Christmas,” was no exception, featuring Jesus not only mocked, but KICKED at the nativity.

While the Griffin family longs to go sledding, Lois tells them to get ready so they can attend church. Peter rudely objects, proclaiming Jesus himself loved sledding, calling it his “second passion” – obviously cheapening the Passion of Christ, the period of suffering Jesus underwent leading up to His death on the Cross for our sins.

Lois: All right. You guys ready for church? Peter: Church? What are you, an idiot? It's the first snow of the season. We're going sledding. Chris: Please, can we, Mom? Lois: Well, I mean, it's Sunday, and... Peter: Come on, Lois. After all, sledding was the second passion of the Christ. Jesus: Eat this, for this is my dust!

But it didn’t stop there. Stewie crashes a corporate Christmas party, giving management some new ideas for firing employees. Consumed with guilt, he claims he ruined Christmas like the little drummer boy – cueing a nativity seen that goes wild, ending with baby Jesus getting kicked over.

Stewie: Oh, God, I've ruined Christmas. Like the Little Drummer Boy when he got really into Neil Peart. (Drumming) Drummer Boy: Our finest gifts we bring Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum. Christmas is gonna be sick!

Truly disgusting, but certainly not surprising. Not really sure where the line is anymore when it comes to Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. We can all agree at the very least he should get coal on Christmas for this disaster

Family Guy: a fag show with a fag cast and only watched by a bunch of fag lovers. Typical immoral Fox crap.

The first few see seasons were good.

I gave up on family guy after that.

Early American Dad was ok but it left me as well.

“There has always been a very hateful, ugly sneer barely hidden behind Seth Macfarlane’s ‘smiles’.”

I kind of picked up on that as well. The guy seems to be funny on the outside, but there’s a lot of pain behind those smiles. If he were someone I knew in real life, I’d offer help.

Family Guy’s jokes aren’t jokes anymore ... they’re flat out garbage attacks that are rancid for the sake of being rancid. Any idiot can perform something offensive. MacFarlane is smart enough to know that he’s profiting handsomely being nothing more than an idiot ... that’s probably why he’s hurting on the inside.

Always remember, ignoring these people is what drives them ballistic. Screaming, yelling, and complaining about these “jokes” gives them the attention they crave. Bringing attention to his “antics” via the media gives them nothing more than free publicity.

Ignoring the “jokes” is what hurts them. I seem hypocritical posting about this and fueling the discussion, but what really hurts them is that I no longer watch this show (haven’t for 8+ years now), I’m in the demographic where they target their advertising, and this show also impacts my viewing of other shows on FOX (i.e. I don’t).

I advise others to take the same approach if you *really* want to hurt these buffoons where it counts. Simply ignore them.

Family Guy can be occasionally brilliant (their Star Wars spoofs) but all too often mistake crassness for humor. Which I find off-putting and offensive.

I simply do not watch it, problem solved.

A lot of his humor is 80s pop-culture references too, which means that the show will probably be incomprehensible to late Millennials and younger.

Yup. Just like the NFL. Stop watching network TV. There is nothing entertaining about any of their shows. Read a good book. Spend time playing with your kids. Learn a new hobby or go to the gym. Starve the beast(tv) and let it die the death it deserves.

Sad. I hope Seth MacFarlane will one day realize Jesus loves him. I pray he will repent and give his life to Christ.

Luck for all of us, God will always take us back when we turn our hearts over to him.

The saddest thing here is tha McFarlane doubtless thinks himself a wit. I surf thru the show and watch a bit, waiting to see some acyual wit but it is witless ALWAYS. Batting a thousand so far. I have never laughs once or even in some way admired what I heard.

The presses won’t stop until the day he does a show insulting Allah and Mohammed and offending Muslims. That’ll never happen, because when Muslims are offended, heads literally roll. When Christians are offended (those who bother to watch the garbage, I don’t know why they would watch crap which offends our Lord and Saviour), we just pray for the offenders.

The proof of edginess is to do a show offending Muslims. Everybody and their brother offends Christians, they know it’s safe to do so. It’s not the least bit edgy these days, it’s more like completely predictable.

Now insult Islam, and try to predict the response. Wussies don’t want to go there, bit too edgy for them.

There get’s to be a point when someone stops being “edgy” and starts being an a-hole.

For most of 'popular culture', that point is receding into the distance in the rear view mirror.

South Park (another deliberately offensive show) did one on Muhammad a few years ago and then withdrew it in the face of threats.

Who watches that garbage anyway. It’s like complaining there’s smelly turds floating by while sitting in the sewer.

Well there you go-they made the show, but pulled it bcause of threats. Not that any real Christian would threaten them in the first place, but even if they did, they wouldn’t pull the show-they’d show it and then go around patting themselves on the backs about how brave and edgy they are. If they aired a similar show about Islam, Muslims would teach them an alternate meaning of “edgy”.
