“Parents pay $51,000 per year to send their kids to this university. If you add it room and board, its more like $69,000 per year.”
Who in their right mind would pay $69,000 per year or almost
$280,000 for an BA in English?

How does the admissions office keep a straight face when they inform a potential student and parents that’s what it will cost? I’d be much more inclined to bust up laughing and calling them “suckers” when they signed on the dotted line.
If you pay taxes you probably did, although somewhat indirectly. See Pell grants etc.
A future Starbucks employee, of course. (Barnes and Noble now only accepts PhDs in English.)
